I'm getting a lot crap about people giving up their fandom for this or that!
The first game I ever watched was the Hail Mary game, haven't missed one since. I used to schedule my weekend practice and coaches meetings around the games. I've hosted eight different players at my ranch for a BBQ. Randy White held three camps for me and I've had a few beers with Wade and his staff. George Teague signed a TO jersey for me! Only one he has ever done. Also got to meet with Jerry for about half an hour back in 94. Point is, I love the Cowboys!!! Especially now that Garrett is gone.
Why do you love them boys!!!

I'm with you there. But I really wonder about something - did Jerry let Garrett walk because Garrett sucked and Jerry truly wants to win, or did he merely cave to public pressure? MM really isn't really that big of a name, but he's certainly better than Garrett. A dead corpse propped up on the sideline would have been an upgrade over Garrett any day.

I would've been gone if Garrett was back with a new contract. There was no hope at all with him here. This offseason I think Jerry finally woke up and it's about time.

The last Cowboys game that I missed was Emmitt Smith’s separated shoulder game against the Giants... and I taped that to watch later.

I am a Cowboys fan because my Dad would have kicked my (7 year old) rear end out of the house if I would have pulled for anyone else. I quickly fell in love with the star and have been a huge fan ever since.

My father had a brain injury when I was two and my mom had to work three jobs to keep us together so this old guy, Mr. Campbell, would come over on Sundays and babysit me while the Cowboys game was on.
He taught me football.
My dad is 85 and he has never seen a Cowboys game. He never saw me play and didn't see me coach until my 17th season. Self taught.

my dad.
tom landry.
too tall jones.

then in '86 i started writing my heroes...and got some cool responses.
herschel,everson walls,danny white...coach landry,tex schramm....all just blew me away with responses.
and it became deeply personal.
i took coach landry's firing, randy white and danny white retiring and herschel getting traded like deaths in the family.
each win was like christmas morning.
each loss a deep deep wound.
still are.
i love'm.

i walk away....only to come back.
my memories.

I love Landry! I'm undefeated in the stadium named after him in his home town.

I was born cheering for the Cowboys. It’s in my blood. Nothing will change that. Those that are giving up for this reason or that were born to be quitters.

I love the Cowboys because I grew up in Dallas, and my father loves them too, watching games with him and my uncles got me into football in high school.

My dad loves the cowboys cuz even when he lived in Mexico, he knew, that the Cowboys were America’s team

At my advanced age, they're my primary source of pleasure.

I feel more alive while watching them than at any other time.

It takes a catastrophic event to keep me from watching 'em!

Matter of fact -- any time I can't watch 'em it's a catastrophe.

Nobody knows for sure but I seriously doubt that Jones does anything not based on what he thinks and not on what fans thinks. My guess is because Jones wants to win another Lombardi, that after giving Garrett one last chance to do it last season and even though he personally likes Garrett but he failed and he told Garrett that he just ran out of chances.
