Your problem is your Dak blindness, and there is no help for it. DMN and other articles are available.
There's no Dak blindness.....you guys kept can't using my support of Dak as a leg to stand on in debates over him. Post proof of the Cowboys being afraid to hurt Dak's psyche......you know that's utter BS.

I didn’t say Dak “beat out” Romo, I said your post was misleading because it just said the team wouldn’t hold an open competition, and failed to indicate there was a reason for that choice. I was merely saying there was a reason - because Dak played well AND because of Romo aging and being injured so much. I thought it was pretty clear that I was just setting the record straight on that point.
Wasn't saying you said that, I was referring my original reply to royce sorry for the confusion I created..

You have no leg to stand on, sorry just the way it is.

He may be, but that isn’t certain. History has proven you wrong about the way the team views a player who spends a season under the tag. I’m also pretty certain that history would show your personal view of players doesn’t always align with the view of the coach and management.

When you read my original post, didn’t you see my statement that if they reach the SB and certain players are responsible for that, and not merely being carried, I don’t mind extending their contracts.

That includes Dakota.......but history tells us that it probably won’t apply to his him....Mr. 8-8

First, theses comments don’t do anything to show the Cowboys have given up on Dak. Again, history proves you wrong, and if that were the case why would they not just go with Dalton and save $31 million for other players.

Second, it doesn’t matter who you would pay. The Cowboys aren’t asking you.

Third, the Cowboys have averaged 10 wins per season with Dak, not 8.

Fourth, some of the great QBs in history have fared no better than Dak their first 4 seasons, so history doesn’t support the notion that a player’s entire career is defined by his first 4 seasons. NFL teams are aware of this, and all they can go by is their own evaluation.

Would you expect him to say he’s glad Garrett was fired and make some disparaging comments? Remember, these kinds of comments come from the media asking questions. Dak didn’t hold a press conference or go,out of his way to make this point. Besides, regardless of what Dak thought of Garrett as a coach, it appeared they enjoyed being around each other.
I don’t know one way or the other but if these things weren’t somewhat accurate then why not dispute them? I realize it’s still relatively recent.

I agree media has as much credibility as some in this site

First, he may have been disappointed - maybe at losing a coach, or maybe he just feels bad it didn’t work out for a guy he likes. So what - it doesn’t mean he’s mad about it or doesn’t understand why it happened.

But even if not true, I don’t expect any player to spend a lot of time responding to everything said or written about them. For most QBs, and the one playing for the Cowboys more than most, that would take a lot of time and effort. I suspect they learn to let things slide off and probably don’t get as wrapped up in things like this as the reader/viewer/listener. After all, that’s the reason the media puts out stuff like this - to hook the consumer.

I'm sure Garrett was liked by a lot of the players.

Its like a guy I knew at my last job, we were both division supervisors and our departments had to meet quotas each quarter when the company reported their earnings, it was a publicly traded company.

The guy was great, liked by everybody, and he would tell you a story every time you talked to him. He used to be in the Navy aboard a submarine and the stories he would tell and the places he went to all over the world when they went in to port every couple of weeks. Anyways, long story short, his department missed their quotas for two consecutive quarters and corporate let him go.

That is Garrett in a nutshell, a great guy that everybody liked but at the end of the day he wasn't getting the job done so he got replaced.

Maybe it is just like that, and the problem is all fixed now. Or maybe the issue in Dallas is something else. We’ll hopefully see soon enough.

old "hot hand' scared the new coach won't blindly support him?
Or maybe he just thought Garrett was a good guy and hated that it didn’t work out.

But, why give credence to the fact that Dak has never been accused of shying away from whatever a coach asks of him or being unwilling to give his best when we could choose the soap opera version?

do you still call granny on the phone to bring you a grape soda.

Can’t tie to anything I actually wrote, so this is a random comment that makes no sense in the context of what has been written. Just like your previous posts.

It’s simple. Being “disappointed” can mean a lot of things, from Dak thought Garrett was a great coach, to he thought the team failed to get it done while Garrett was coach, to he thought firing Garrett was the right thing but he felt bad for Garret because he likes him personally, to he was all on board with firing Garrett but took the high road instead of degrading him when there was no reason to do so. It wouldn’t be hard to add to that list too.

Here’s some logic. If Dak doesn’t think he can make it without Garrett why wouldn’t he have signed whatever contract he was offered so he could be guaranteed big money before he falls on his face?

But, of course, simple and logical doesn’t work for you. Only the Days of Our Lives explanation works for you.
