I believe both Tyron and Aldon are just pretty good practice partners for one another this year!

I contend both of them will be well tested, in terms of their stamina staying up to snuff in 2020!

In other words......they can only make each other better. Been saying since we signed him........I'm more concern about what's going on between his ears. I'm not sure many fans remember just how dominant he was the first few years in the league. I recall he wasn't just damn good pass rusher but mean SOB, talked a lot of trash.

BTW.......wanna bet a pretty penny DT will finally get strong consideration as our 2021 first-round pick? I honestly believe/hope Stephen/Jerry is starting to understand the impact of building a dominant DLine. Resign Smith or Griffen and we are not that far off.

Give the new staff credit for focusing their resources on upgrading the DL. They could easily went in the season going with the holdover starters and use the year to evaluate which pieces are apart of their long-term plan. Still need long-term, inexpensive solutions at both DE/DT, but at least on paper, they turned a weakness into the a strength, even with the loss of Gerald McCoy.

Hopefully this says more about Aldon's ability than Tyron's health.
At this point in training camp, if he had a blister on his middle toe he would be sitting out. I would be shocked if he's not fully healthy. And I'd bet as camp goes on, he will give more that he gets.

When two high level players compete against one another, they usually win some, lose some. I do not think Tyron skill set is declining what so ever, if he gets his hands on you, it's a done deal. Aldon is a freak athlete, that possesses all the natural athletic abilities, he just maybe the type of player who can get out of bed and rush the passer. Him having success early on against Tyron is very, very encouraging.
Good post, agree with all you typed.

I really don’t think a lot of people realize just how good Aldon Smith was.
