Good. Overrated.

Special teams player only on one of the worst special teams units in the league.

Call Garrett.

At least he won't have anymore late hit out of bounds penalties anymore. He isn't some great special teams player that Dallas will miss. They will replace him and it won't be an issue
Robinson played ST's in college and he will probably be an upgrade. Drafting Robinson, and signing Worley (who likely meant Robinson wont see a ton of defensive snaps as a rookie) probably spelled the end of Goodwin

I thought Canady had a better shot of making the roster than Goodwin if he didnt opt out

I don't get the entire Goodwin is such a special teams great player. Plus you get nothing from the DB spot he occupies. At least with Robinson he block kicks in college and had upside as a DB.

Thats why I like the Canady signing. He at least gives you a playable DB from that ST roster spot. Luckily the draft made it so neither of them was needed

Yeah but it wasn't Goodwin's fault and if Bones likes Goodwin...give him what he wants this special teams is going to start off as a work in progress.

Don’t get too much caught up in a few bubble players being cut. They take the chance no team will pick them up.
After they put a few on IR, they could be very well brought back if not signed elsewhere.
And if they are, they can be replaced fairly easy.

He and March will be back. Bernard is the one we have to wait patiently for to sneak through waivers (I’m betting he won’t).

Most likely if Lewis gets sent to IR.
They must be eyeing a good 3 or 4 outside free agents (Carr and who else?) to be making these moves then.

They're trying to add guys to the 53 today, knowing that 3 guys (Collins, Lee, and Lewis) will be going to the IR tomorrow, and are risking losing Goodwin and March (not really a risk to me at all) to do it.

Bummer...:(

We are gonna miss him on special teams....

I'm glad. I'm not a big fan of keeping him just because of special teams play ... although I admit that I loved Bill Bates and Kenny Gant.

It's too bad Canady opted out, because he's pretty much Goodwin on special teams with the ability to also actually contribute at corner.

However, I think we've got some pretty good candidates in the secondary to step up on special teams while also not being a liability at their position.
