It's just been a little over a year, and the individual franchises haven't changed hands (at least any more than they would have anyway). As long as they don't change the menu we really shouldn't notice a change. It's really more just the idea that it isn't a Texas company anymore that bothers me.

I actually dont mind who owns the company. Just the food has definitely changed. It is not "homegrown" anymore. it is ok quality, but it seems generic.

I love Whataburger. Thought it was better than In-N-Out. :D

Wish I had some in my neck of the woods.

There isn't a Whataburger within 1,000 miles of me.

I tried one, I think it was in Arlington, once. Didn't seem all that special. *ducks and covers*
There is a HUGE amount of inconsistency in how they're made now depending on what "I don't give a crap just give me my paycheck" is making them. And some restaurant managers are awful or you wouldn't have #1. If it's a good store and if they're made proper the way they should be, nothin' can beat em. But good luck finding a decent one now days that isn't smashed, cold. has 2 shreds of lettuce on it, or some other calamity. I quit going a long time ago........................

I actually started feeling that way about Whataburger well before the ownership change. I think a Sonic or Dairy Queen burger is just as good. I haven't always felt that way.
