We're about to play a team that will probably put up more than 450 yards on us if we don't slow them down.

I understand everyone wants to see DAL have three 1,000 yard WRs, but that is not how we're going to start winning.

Did you see how EzE was dominating LA, but for some reason, Moore went away from him?

Feed him runs and passes and watch us get our first win of the season. Because if we don't, this OL won't hold up and we're looking at another dismal outcome.

This method is a direct pass to 8-8.

We need explosive plays and feed 21 is a 50/50 brand of football.

Zeke has lead the league in attempts almost every year or he is right towards the top.

More volume is not the answer. That is Neanderthal caveman football.

The passing game just needs to create more big plays. The offense needs much much much more flair.

Not only that but Dallas won't see anymore teams that run the Rams offense. When the Rams had to go to a more traditional offense they couldn't score. Not only that but did anybody notice the change on defense against the Rams. They went to more of a 3-4 defense in the second half..... only snaps Crawford got was DE in 3-4 alignment and 0 snaps in the 4-3......I think Nolan is turning this into a 3-4 defense but bringing it along slowly. Or he is just making adjustments in game and plans on using both

Agreed. Feed Zeke and let him wear the Falcons D down. Now the other key is we have to stop the run and short routes.

The major problem is abandoning the run.

This team isnt passing it's way to a championship . Not with Dak as the starter.

A dominant running game is what this team must attempt.

EzE was killing LA and then Moore put the breaks on it. Even Pollard was killing them on the underneath routes. WTH?

did it all 2019 KM just forgets the run game , forgets to use 21 and pollard in the pass routes i mean you want to cover up a weak TE , you run more and run more RPOs and pass to RBs..we have the players , play calling was sketchy. We dont have to run a ton more just more efficient with pollard and zeke run and pass..

we need to specifically game plan for the falcons just the way the rams planned for us. it's the belichick method. take away their strengths.

My observation is because of the lost offseason, even if McCarthy and Nolan were able to fully install the new schemes on offense and defense, the players did not seem to have had enough time practicing to the point they are fully comfortable. These are more complicated schemes than we've had in the previous regime. It's a hard situation to be in as a coach. COVID-19 has proven to be a huge challenge as to how to safely proceed forward while everyone is sheltering at home most of the offseason. These things take time. I think they get it together by the 4th game which is why I've been predicting an 0-3 start for the Cowboys. They will get better and make the playoffs. "Keeping it simple" makes sense but these coaches had these more complicated schemes designed before COVID-19 hit us. Apparently they didn't want to trash that to redesign new simpler schemes, maybe they should have. Even with the lost offseason, they stayed the course on getting these new schemes established. Be patient folks, I'm pretty sure they will get much better by mid-season.

If we're going to be a running team then why draft Cee Dee Lamb? Dak is not a play-making QB so we need to be a running team?

In case you havent notice, feeding Zeke doesnt get us anywhere. It actually keeps the games close and plays right out of our hands on how we should be playing.

With the firepower the Cowboys have in the passing game, teams will be thanking Moore if he pounds Zeke at 4 yards a clip slowly up the field. AT some point, Zeke will get stuffed and it will be 3rd and long.

This offense works best out of the hurry up spread formations. This is when they move the ball the best. Its overly obvious. Cowboys need to be aggressive with the passing game early and get a nice lead so that the pass rush can tee off.

THEN you can pound Zeke with a lead and mix it in there.

I know this is going to be hard for the Zeke lovers to hear, but the presence of Zeke on this team and his monster contract is holding back the direction of the offense. This offense is an offense that lacks an identity. Its caught in between wanting to be a dynamic passing attack or a power running team.

This, and why I can see Anae being implemented more, and Bernard moving up the depth chart.

This. Although we’ll see the impact of the injuries after the 3rd game. Going 0-3 isn’t a sign that McCarthy needs to go. It’s to be expected.

Defense just lacks talent. Its pretty much THAT simple. Other than DE, this defense lacks young talent at all. Diggs looks good but thats it. LVE and Jaylon are a joke at this point. Lawrence as our best player is a joke. LVE, McCoy, Ha ha were the new additions that were going to help solve the up the middle issues. With them gone, this defense is back to swiss cheese. And wait until a good passing team comes in. Oh wait, they are coming in this weekend.
