Boys gonna be 8-8 and win this putrid division.

I do not know how they get to 8 wins. I pick all 4 NFC West teams to beat them and 3 of the 4 AFC North teams to do so. I think 6-10 or 5-11 wins the division because that statement is true for every team in the NFC East.

While they did/do have a terrible OL, he still had an outstanding rookie season in which he had over 2k scrimmage yards.

The mistake was moreso not doing more to improve that OL sooner rather than draft a generational talent
RB’s are the most expendable position on the field and can be found in later rounds. You don’t need a generational RB to win championships, it all starts with an O line and they could have hypothetically traded back or even grabbed Nelson who is a generational guard.

It’s laughable how bad their GM has ruined that team...I mean literally laughable. I don’t see how he can last past this season but if he gets a chance I would bet good money that he re signs Barkley because he doesn’t want to admit he messed up. If they give him a huge contract I would laugh and laugh and laugh.

The Giants have become the new Cleveland Browns, they have been the worst team in the league for the past 3 years and are showing no signs of improvement anywhere. It’s been an absolute pleasure having them in our division.

Because taking a RB, a position often injured, when you have multiple holes on your team is a luxury you can't afford.

If Barkley was completely healthy I would say they should trade him.

That pick is like going out and buying a brand new car when the old one is fine and your up to your ears in debt already.

Barkley was the no 1 ranked player before the draft by many boards, their main running back in 2017 was Orleans Darkway, hardly in Barkley's league. Guess the Giants went bpa...

I like Saquon. Hate to hear this for him...his a Giant but you don't want to see your rivals have ACL tears.

That being said.......

@aria

This is what I'm referencing. When y'all were boosting up Barkley this summer....this is what Zeke gives you. He's consistent and he's durable. Since 2016.........he's suited up and done his job.

They had a glaring need at QB. They couldve taken Darnold who is looking like a bust.

So is Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore for 1/100th of the price. Injuries to guys who train regularly are also freak accidents, zeke could tear his ACL tomorrow so does that mean he’s not a good RB? No.

The injury is doubly-bad as far as I'm concerned ; I've watched the play repeatedly and Barkley wasn't hit directly on the area or tackled awkwardly..........

What a shame..........................

That pick made sense for them.

My only complaint about that was the fact they didn't have a offensive line and it was going ton take years to get one so they were essentially wasting his rookie years on that rookie deal.

So from that aspect maybe it was a bad pick but the pick was going to be either Barkley or one of those overrated quarterbacks from that draft.

Bad pick by the Giants.

Never made sense for that franchise and he was a luxury they couldn't afford.

At least with Dallas they had a foundation in place and you could validate picking a RB that high.

NYG was a trash team and had no business picking him.

I agree. The Giants were coming off a 3-13 season where their QB clearly regressed, and played 14-15 games. So, it wasn't like Eli still had it in him but got a fluke injury.
Their defense was being overhauled and switched to a 3-4 for the 2018 season and Chubb would of been a great option to start the 3-4 out with.

Barkley is probably the most talented from that draft class, but he was taken into a team that had an old QB with no heir, a rebuilding offensive line and a defense that quickly turned sour.

Even up to now, the offensive line is meh, TBD at QB and the defense still sucks.

If Barkley had a better ACL and was on a good team he would be a force in this league.

I wonder is it the Bo Jackson effect on Barkley? No man is suppose to be that fast and elusive and his body won't allow him to do it?
