Dakazoids are out in full force after one win against a bad team and one good game. Amazing.
They will soon be back in their holes when Dak faces defenses with a pulse....like the 1st Q before Atlanta had injuries galore on defense!

Yeah they better stick with Mahomes if they want someone to latch on too....they can't even latch on to Deshaun Watson because he too isn't playing up to his potential.
Yep. Slowly it's becoming only 1 QB they got with Mahomes. Even Jackson isn't the passer that Dak is and after the 3 rushing TDs Sunday you might have to question that

Idk why everyone is obsessed with the word "excuse." QBs need support. All of them. Mahomes isn't Mahomes if he's on the Jets right now.

Wentz right now isn't much different than Dak in the beginning of 2018. Playing poorly, but the surrounding environment is so poor that every mistake looks worse because you can't overcome anything.

I believe in your assessment of Wentz’s situation, but something just doesn’t smell right here in Philly and people are starting to question the organizations belief in Wentz. In Monday’s presser coach Peterson was asked about Wentz’s regression. Instead of denying that he has regressed, he said “that’s a good question”. Along with drafting a QB in the second round of this past draft, as I said something doesn’t smell right.

I know. I don't think Wentz was this miracle worker that he's been painted as last year lol.

I've been saying that the Eagles suck, and that they sucked last year, and that the Cowboys greatest enemy in the division is the Cowboys. That has a lot to do with Wentz. Having said that, they'd be a lot different of a team with a legitimiate WR corps.
I don't know honestly I feel Wentz can't take advantage of receivers because his throws over medium range don't seem to be well. His best throws have always been to running backs and tight ends. They raved about those receivers all camp long. I don't think lack of weapons is the issue here. What Wentz lack at receiver he has at tight end. Goedert and Ertz are mismatches for teams.

It really doesn't. Drafting Hurts made absolutely no sense. The only way it made sense was if they had no faith in Wentz.

And watching Philly play......there's no question Wentz is a better player but Hurts may be a better fit if he can play. Wentz does not seem to take coaching well. He's reckless with the football. Nick Foles represented that for them.

Their offseason also made no sense. They instead in defensive tackle even though they had 2 other high paid defensive tackles....instead of trading up for Lamb they stood pat and drafted Hurts with the 2nd rounder....

They have no receivers and no OL. Wentz hasn't played well, but it's not like you can realistically grade him.

What?! Did the Eagles draft a WR in the 1st? Is Wentz missing his two very, very good TEs? He has Kielce, Johnson, and Peters.

Dak played with an undrafted FA rookie making his first start. Two undrafted FAs (both basically rookies) starting the second game and Schultz as his top TE.

People sure do like to make excuses for Wentz.

Every team raves about their receivers in camp. He's not the most accurate QB in the world, but I think this is a bit of a misconception. There's just nobody to throw to down the field. Again, it's exactly the same as what Dak struggled with in the beginning of 2018. It's impossible to hit WRs in that intermediate range when they are never open.

Aside from that, Ertz being Philly's top receiving weapon has held that offense back for 3 years. I've been saying it and I'll keep saying it lol. He is simply not explosive enough for defenses to consistently worry about and he can only be a major part of an effective, consistent offense when there are over-the-top WRs who can draw safeties.

Dak has played extremely bad against good defense and I need to see better play from him. I don’t need him to be a superstar, I just need him to not be bad.

Peters is a 38 year old guard playing LT. Johnson was out week 1.

The Cowboys tackles played mostly fine last week.

It's not an excuse, it's the truth of that team. People sure do like to throw that word around for no reason.

?

He was excellent against the Rams. This is the type of thing that makes absolutely no sense to me.

Dak would've fared better in 2018 if he had Ertz and Goedert to throw too.

Mind you the Eagles also passed up on DJ Metcalf in favor of JJ Artega Whiteside who is from the same agency as Carson Wentz.

This throw is just stupid.....

There was no one even around him when he threw it.

It was clutch but it was based on crap ton of horrible play in the first half, on our part. If you want to know the truth, the Defense won this game for us. How they last the entire game, I have no idea, as many times as the O left them with terrible field position. But never the less, Dak was clutch at times but so was the entire team. The pass to Coop, a huge play right? Overthrow but because Cooper made an outstanding catch, it's a big play. That's what I'm talking about. These guys who come out and blow on Dak's horn, they don't see it for what it is. This was an entire team win and it wasn't Dak being Clutch. It was the entire team but who cares right?

It is what it is I guess.
The defense obviously played a part, but we had 30 second half points, so it's a little off base to give the defense all the credit. It took both sides of the ball.

This is not true. He played well against Minnesota, Rams and Eagles last year which were all good defenses.

I'm sorry, I don't see the "No credit for great play" part you aspire to here. And what's more, that doesn't justify blanket statements like the ones you are suggesting. Great play is giving the Defense credit for Sunday's win. They were hung out to dry for the entire first half. They played againt true top 5 NFL QB and one of the best WR corps in the entire NFL. They played against Todd Gurley and held him to 61 yards and a 2.1 AYC on the day. But I don't see a lot of folks talking about the D. Of the points scored on Sunday, how many were actually off of drives put together by the Falcons and not off of mistakes from the Offense or STs? They hung in all day. They gave up 10 points in the entire second half, after having been on the field all of the first half. That, to me, is who should be getting some call outs but nope, I don't see it. Instead, it's all Dak and how all the haters need to sit down etc. Whatever, you guys can half it.

Great play is great play? Well, where's your great defense thread and where's your great OL play thread and where's your great Shultz play thread?...............

I agree it is still a team win but given the fact that Dallas was behind as they were and it fell a to Dak and the passing game then yes like any QB in the NFL who overcome that situation they get credit, really is it that fricken hard to understand. This is what I'm talking about you can't give a simple great going Dak , great game. Yes players picked it up, defense including buy any other QB in the NFL who lead his team from behind like Dak did gets credit but not here and not by his critics it seem to be too damn hard for them to handle. I don't care if people like him or not what I do not get is acknowledging great play from him, not it is down played and watered down by his critics.

By the way if you paid attention I did comment in a thread about the defensive play being much better in the 2nd half and was told no they were crap. I don't have issues with giving credit or blame be it WR, OL, DL or Dak yet some here do and they can only throw out crap about how bad of a QB he is .

Wentz's INTs have nothing to do with poor OLine and WR play.... Wentz's has regressed.
Doug Pederson prefers humble backups

I wouldn't even give the defense props for that.....what stops did they get? The only reason we won was because we kicked the onside kick and didn't give them the ball.
