Just a little food for thought here.. I think we can all admit the Cowboys are indeed a very talented team overall. I'm not saying they're the most talented, but they do have some supreme talent at least on the offensive side of the ball...

Having said that, this is the type of game that in days past has motivated the players to come out with a MAJOR chip on their shoulders. Think about it, all they're hearing about is how Russell Wilson is going to rip them apart and they have no chance to win.

If history tells us anything, it tells us that this could offer serious motivation and have us playing well out of minds. Anytime a fan base is over confident and writing off another team, this eventually gets back to the players and creates super motivation.

All I'm saying here, is that i wouldn't be surprised if the cowboys come out ready to knock some people out in this game.

They have to have a good start. Another disaster like the Falcons game and it's a blowout.

They need turnovers. Something they have had trouble getting for years.

I understand they obviously they need to play better, but you do realize the seahawks defense has played worse than ours right? I understand Russ is "COOKING" so to speak, but this is going to only add fuel to the fire of our team in my opinion.

I go the opposite way.

While I would love to agree with you..

I can't.

This team had an emotional high this last week.

They have heard alot of praise in the media and over-confidence is usually the result.

I do not mean anything other than the team is distracted from reality way too much and lapses into under-achievement as a result.

What was the first thing the media decided was the topic of that win?

They talked about Dak and we should pay the man.

I mean that issue is closed and has nothing to do about this team and it's season.

Dak has a $32 million contract and it's a closed subject until the season is over.

Move on please.

Distractions.

We have a huge number of injuries, about half the entire defense from 3 weeks ago.

That is a topic with huge ramifications for any thoughts of winning.

We had 5 starters out now another in Awuzie.

That is the story of this season, this game and must be overcome or folks we got Trouble.

The Seahawks have some very bad injuries as well and a suspect defense that could easily get picked apart by Dak. If the defense plays solid, we will have a chance.

What you are saying makes a ton of sense, but I have to wonder how it's going to effect the team hearing how dangerous Wilson all week. I think in the past when the Cowboys felt like total underdogs they really came to play... I do agree with you that logic says they crumble, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they're ultra focused and do well.

Well..

the defense is the key.

I just have to believe they have looked at the Atlanta game film and will pick a poison and commit to take it away from Dak.

Either they take Zeke out and load the box and force Dak to repeat his aerial show for a second week..

or they assume Dak and our beat up OL can not stop them and they decide to blitz Dak and assume Zeke alone can't beat them.

Their defense can't do both unless we duplicate our turnover-fest again and implode.

Should be an entertaining if not a nervy game to watch for us. This game comes down to Big Mike vs Seattles HC coach.

Seattle’s defense has given up more yards than any other team and had some significant injuries. Advantage us.

Both offenses are about equal.

We win and Super Bowl Kool Aid will be served for the next 5-6 weeks while we destroy some scrub teams.

I'm sure we'll be tested. In the past we've played to the level of the competition. If so, we'll be at our best. Let's hope so, anyhow.

I made the mistake of believing a certain poster's claim the last few days that the weather forecast predicted up to an 80% chance of rain come game time.

After doing some weather checking just now, I don't know where this particular poster came up with such a fallacy? The hourly weather forecast in Seattle Washington for 3 pm (CST) game time on Sunday has nothing but sunny skies with a 0% chance of rain. It will be raining throughout Saturday, but the rains are forecasted to clear up by Sunday morning.

With this forecast of sunny skies come game time, I certainly hope Coach McCarthy and the Cowboys come out with full guns a'blazing!

Recent history tells us that this team:
A) starts slow
B) does not get up for big games like this
C) usually is adversely affected by key injuries ( over rated bench players)
D) makes a minimum of 3 boneheaded and ill-timed errors
E) doesnt force turn overs and doesnt get turnovers

I hope you are right though.

I think if we can do ball control with short passes , screens etc to extend the drives, we can then keep both Russel Wilson and our crappy defense on the sidelines.

I can stand some good pub on this team for Fall. I’m interested to see if that happens how Mike handles it. JG failed at it miserably

Reverse psychology?

You must be smoking that bird seed we talked about earlier.

McCarthy is the psychologist around here. I said earlier in another thread this game is going to be an interesting contest b/w the HCs..

Carroll and McCarthy. These are two experienced HCs and it's going to.be an even contest I think.

My week was so beautiful because the Cowboys won..

Not to mention the trees have that tiny yellow glow as fall begin.. The air is a little cooler and a Cowboys victory.

I loved this past week lol.

I can’t imagine how good the next week will be if we win.

I've got a decent idea of what the players are going to do. What's got me on the edge of my seat is finding out if our coaches are game changers or just managers.
