It was devastating and still is.
I didn’t have a single care about the outcome of the game after that. I truly truly pray that he comes back from that injury. He has put it all on the line for this organization even though they didn’t want to pay him. Right now, I don’t even care if he makes the Cowboys bankrupt with his next contract because he deserves it!

He likes Dak a lot on a personal level.
But I’m also sure it was awkward because he knows so well what its like, and how brutally dejecting it can be.
He always has to choose his words a bit with Dak anyway.

I don't know but Tony needs to lay off the smokes. He sounded like a different person than years past. Did they cover that early and I missed it? (why his voice was so course)
I'm sure it was hard for Tony to see Dak go down that way. He could have had the long term ramifications going on in his head while still in broadcast. Nance wanting to talk about the contract and Tony wasn't feeling that timing.
