Would Cowboys trade Amari Cooper?

I don't get it. Dak was trash before Cooper got here. Even in and out of injury, Cooper has been top notch. Lamb and Gallup can not carry the load without Cooper
I like Coop too. To turn the team around its going to take a lot of young cheap talent though. If your QB is viable, gallup and lamb plus others are enough. So, i would have to consider a good draft pick.

Cooper isn't consistent enough for me to prop him up like he's some no. 2 WR whisperer like you. And he hasn't been his entire career. This season isn't over, so yes, it's multiple years. Even if you don't agree.

He’s far more consistent than Gallup and has reverted him nothing but a fly runner. Care to compare their numbers? I’m not opposed to semantics whatsoever, so I don’t mind pointing out that one and a half isn’t multiple. It’s one and partial. Also the season is effectively over.

and I’m not calling Amari a whisperer, I’m saying he draws the most attention and the best coverage, routinely. Freeing Gallup up to do his thing (sporadically).

I’d do it....for one if we knew we’d be getting ceedee than cooper isn’t here. Two, this teams mentality shouldn’t be that anyone is off limits- especially with Gallup cost controlled and ceedee also.

lastly, saving 12 million is a bonus on top of everything else. This team should be trying to maximize draft picks and flexibility. This year is in the toilet, next year is likely a bridge year for dak because of his injury.

Neither are a number 1 right now. Getting rid of Coop would be stupid
Would be stupid towards the cap. What are we gaining with him right now? We aren't even winning our division just Asinine!

True. But better teammates, coaching, would make Cooper an alpha.
Nah that's not how it works. You're paid 100M to perform on the field and be a leader for the team.

I can't believe yall are ok with this.

ElUV4_0XIAA-0h2

Sanjay pulled him. Garrett has already told us this. You guys act like the players ask to be subbed out. I remember people saying "oh zeke wanted out of the game" Pollard fumbled immediately after that. Zeke was out because he took a hit to the head. lol. You guys act like you're on the field. You arent.

They asked Michael Irvin if a coach could keep him off the field on a play of that magnitude, he said it was impossible. It would never happen. That's a real alpha. I cannot believe you guys are defending him on this.

Did he take himself off or did the moron head coach do it?
IF the assistant pulled him, fine. He is a beta for listening. Again, Michael Irvin said he would have refused to come off the field. Amari isn't built like that.

michael Irvin is a coked up lunatic though. You also can’t get your haircut before him.

Absolutely!

if you ask me I’ll rather stick with Gallup and Lamb. This isn’t a championship team with the luxury of having 3 top shelf wide outs.. we can get rid of one and build this team the right way.. from the inside out.

Ok that has nothing to do with anything. Mike is his own man. Mike did a lot of things most people wouldn’t do good or bad. Amaris issues come from having trash at quarterback since Dak got hurt.

You can do that without getting rid of Coop.

If offered a 1st or a 2nd and a 4th I’d take the deal. Begin a mini-rebuild by gathering picks. Gonna be a couple of years before contending with Dak returning from injury and needing time to return to old form.

I believe you entertain trade options for Lawrence, Jaylon, Tyron, and Zeke. If high enough for Tyron and Zeke you make the deal. I’d give away Lawrence for a mid-round pick to get rid of the contract and Jaylon a 3rd day pick to get rid of that contract.

this!

Yea, we are terrible, planning for 3 years out.
So trade Cooper and tag and trade Dak. As soon as you can cut bait with Zeke.

Our need for a DT, LB and/or safety FAR outweighs the need for WR. Value-wise, we would get more for Cooper to help. That is my point.

I don’t disagree in principle. I just don’t know what Gallup could fetch in trade given how good he’s looked and because he’s on a rookie deal. I’m also not sure he’s going to command much less than amari come contract time.

I don't think we could get as much for Gallup. I mean, maybe a 1st, but I think because he hasn't played as a No.1 except when Cooper was out it would be more like a 2nd.
