Oh I understand it perfectly. You just try to justify it with excuses so you can’t face the fact that you’re a quitter.
These past 25 years have been quitters! Do you even remember the Cowboys ever winning? I don't know if you ever saw the Cowboys win? Do you remember 91-95?

Rocky, some teams deserve for their fans to quit on them and this is one of them. And I loosely use the term "team" to describe whatever this is.

Those fans rooting for a team to get better through losing are just as strong as the ones rooting for a win.

What most fans are here is tired of the same ole same ole and if these people don't get really high picks, they're barely mediocre.

The other thing that is not lost on many fans is watching just the rookies this year in Burrow, Herbert and Tua emerging. Add Mahomes, Murray and Allen to that and can't blame them for wanting one of those cats.

And hell, it's not like this team can get out of their own way. They may have developed a new form of tanking, almost trying. This is a bad team in absolutely every aspect of the game and can't even remain silent in their embarrassment.

I am a Cowboys fan; just not a fan of these Cowboys.

Rock, a good general knows when he can't win the battle. Rather than go willingly into slaughter they search for a way to turn the battlefield favorable.

Name calling is the tool of the weak and worthless. You've got a heavy dose of both.

Unless the Nooch lights it up (he actually might) I don’t see how we win another game.
We will endn up top five. Jerry and Dak will figure out if it will be a QB or a defensive player.

Being frustrated with the team and the ownership the past 26 years is one thing. I totally understand and I'm totally pissed off about how the Joneses have ruined this organization. But rooting for the team to lose is nothing more than being a loser and a quitter. Just for a better draft choice? Come on man.

yes... In all honesty the first game I can remember is Cowboys beating the Commanders 31-30 on a Monday night game. The next morning the top fold of the post I see Dorsett breaking a tackle. Just looked it up, it was 1983.
I was hooked from that point on, that is where all my Cowboys history through books, nfl films, library checkouts..

I lived through the early failures in the 60's. My most vivid memory from those years was Bob Lilly throwing his helmet in disgust and frustration after the SB loss to Baltimore. At the time it seemed like they were never going to win a championship.

I love the fact that you saw the franchise from the beginning. But I think these past 25 years with Jerry as the owner have been very unique.
Even the early days of disappointment whether it was losing in the playoffs, or the inaugural season with the team going winless, or the ice bowl loss, to losing to Baltimore and Pittsburg twice... to the early 80's of Danny White not being able to get over the hump... to watching Pelluer and Hogeboom with Herschel and Dorsett getting traded to the Broncos... These past 25 years the organization has been in a real funk. Maybe the 25 year mark just is the straw that breaks the back.
Something must change or we will never even sniff a SB. Just doing what we do and keep on trucking will not solve this issue.
We need a systematic change, and that might mean a real honest evaluation of this roster. Winning another game this year hurts us in the long run.. Sorry to be so blunt about it. No one likes losing. Maybe Jerry needs to see fans with brown bags on their head.

Totally agree. Jones did very well with the Jimmy Johnson hire then totally screwed it up because he wasn't getting the credit he though he deserved. It's been downhill ever since.

If you think the Cowboys have a chance then you are competing with a fantasy. The Jets have this prize wrapped up.

Micah Parsons , Patrick Surtain II, Christian Barmore, Carlos Basham all can probably be had with pick 6 and beyond. We can also trade down. QB is not a need and dont fix this garbage

Yup. And in this case, it's tank this season and add some talent. Good generals know when to retreat and fight another day.
