I am so angry. This kid has the arrogance to run a WR screen, not once, but TWICE on back to back plays?

I think the whole mantra of Jerry trying to prove how smart he is has rubbed off on the young OC. He needs to go. We haven't run a successful WR screen in years. Yet. Every single game. There are 2 or 3 times we attempt it for no gain. This is just stupidity. Nothing to do with personnel. Arrogance and stupidity.

There has been more than just this instance where he looks overmatched and confused. If we are keeping him in fear of another team getting him. Please. Stop being scared. Let him go run an offense in college and actually EARN his stripes before giving him the reigns of the offense of the biggest team in sports.

He does give him the ball in short yardage situation and he fails. Then they have to use other things.

Didnt you watch the Pollard short yardage previously? It got completely stuffed. The ONLY reason it worked is because Pollard had the speed and ability to run back outside and barely beat the guy to the marker. Washington has the best Dline in the NFL. They were stuffing everything up the middle.

Looney, 2nd string, McGovern, Steele, Knight all 3rd string, Williams sucks. And you want them to give it to Zeke up the middle on the most predictable play on their offense when its getting stuffed every time? Doesnt seem to smart to me. The team just sucks. The fact that we were even in the game by halftime is a miracle.

3rd play of 2nd half and Feed Me fumbles it.
Pollard got stuffed many times. Stop trying to make it seem like Pollard can handle the load. Last night proved he cant. Im not saying Zeke is better I am just saying in general. We need a Nick Chubb.

Moore is only here because it was Drunk Jerrah's master plan to have him replace Corky after he decided to hang it up,,,,DJ thought Moore probably needed a little more seasoning....not the kind Corky puts on his breakfast steaks.

That reverse play in the endzone, I think Lamb was supposed to throw the ball. If you watch it again he goes for it and then for some reason pulls the ball down and abandons the play. It looked like it would have worked too.

Some of you guys need to figure out what you want. A lot of people were banging on the table the last few years about our boring and predictable offense. Now that we have a coaching staff that is willing to mix it up and take some chance, well, here some of you are. lol
It was supposed to be a pass to Dalton, but there was a defender on him (just out of screen on the main view, but on the reverse angle replay, you can see him). Washington wasn't fooled at all.

I'm hoping that when this season is over we will hear of who was making some of these play calls were seeing. Is it exclusive Moore or is McCarthy coming up with them? Because I know everyone would like to know what is really going on. Is big Mike really going along or is he coming up with them?

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. The Cowboys are one of the worst teams running those WR screens. In fact, they stink running any screens. They run too many trick plays that fool no one too. After the interception that Smith took to the 4, they lost yards on two plays, a draw then the reverse to CeeDee.I think CeeDee was looking to throw it there but the Washington guy got up on him too quickly. I wish they had a fullback they could like up in the I and just run it from there instead of getting cute.

They were leading the league in passing yards with Dak as the QB.

The 2nd place team was 300 yards behind.

They were 2nd in scoring.

They did all of that with udfa OTs playing the majority of the OT snaps.

WR screens have worked. Fans just don't pay attention until plays don't work.

I don't see that at all. I see a young guy, promoted too soon, who is learning the ropes. It was actually obvious that he would take some time to learn w/ the slightest bit of thinking.

Don't be angry, they were not trying to win yesterday.

With some of these stupid play calls and some of MM's stupid going for it deep in our own territory, and the fake punts.
I truly wonder if that is not caring to win or lose. It's hey we win great, we lose, better draft pick.

THINK.

Does anyone have the slightest inkling of how hard it is to call plays when your OL is getting owned at the LOS on every play?

Honestly, this game should be about why it's so important to build a great Dline. We got owned at the LOS, and that was the real difference in this game.

So true. You try to educate these types but it doesn’t work.

Show me when a WR screen has worked. In the last. 2 years.

Moore is a problem. Never wanted him as a QB coach, never wanted him as an OC. I thought for a while, OK, not too bad, see how he grows. Then this year he has been horrible at times.
I want to say, given all the injuries and a sucky defense. He has to call the games somewhat different or a strong possibly of having too. But I prefer him and Nolan be gone. Now I am questioning MM as well.

The guy is in his 2nd full year and some mistakes are going to happen, it's called the learning process and Booger doesn't have a problem with it. Hell, he hired Garrett without a title and was considering HC.

Booger is a paradox. He's one of the few GM's in the NFL that actually played on a big time football team and according to him, his mentor and beacon was his HC at AR, Frank Broyles, yet he seems to not respect the position or the importance of it.

Is he so obsessed with credit for football success that he actually undermines himself with his attempts to garner it? He doesn't have to be a meddler, his desire to be a hands on GM has cut his HC's off at the knees. Because the problem is it all rolls downhill, I do not think the players respect coaching either. They don't play or work for the HC, they do that for the owner. And he loves them no matter how bad they play.

Yep, same here but we are stuck with this for now because Booger doesn't like to pay coaches not to coach. Plus he's delusional enough to think he can fix this. Isn't that what he's been selling al along?

I don't care who you are.....you should NEVER pass the ball on 4th and inches!!! And no analytics disproves that!! I have seen the GOAT, Tom Brady, this season, sneak it in for the few inches required!! And he is over 40+ years old!!! Did you see that later in the game, they actually let Dalton run the QB sneak and it was successful? Why they didn't do it earlier boggles my mind!! This team is just so frustrating to understand. o_O

Well, they'll defend themselves with the OL being banged up and run blocking. If they ask Dalton, he'll add pass blocking as an issue as well.

I dunno folks, you saw that OL, what would you be calling? They couldn't pass or run block and couldn't call anything that was a developing play to get the receiver even to the first down marker. Dalton was having problems with just completing short passes.

I also think we need to stop and give credit to one of the best DL's in the game headed onto being the best. What DAL did with their OL is what WEAS has done with their DL and it shows. Starting OL's have struggled with them all year and you put that hot mess out there.

The one thing that should have changed were the holding calls, not fair. I think our guys deserved credit for just getting their hands on the DL. That was absolutely blood in the water for that front 7 and DL.

And as much as I get off on divisional games, after watching Alex Smith's :60 story and where he was this time last year, easy guy to pull for and add to that 5 OC's in his first 5 years in the league and he's easy to like. I hope they win the East with him at the helm.
