4th pick you trade down. The 3rd rated quarterback will be there for the taken. New England, Washington, Chicago, and San Francisco will be fighting each other to move up for Wilson. To be honest we should consider drafting him ourselves.
One of those teams will trade for Darnold, my money is on Chicago offering the most.

Have you watched our defense. Anyone that says we should draft an o lineman should be immediately banned from draft talk.

Sorry beamen youre now banned from draft and qb talk
If there was a impactful defensive player worth taking in the top 5 I would agree, but there isn't. We can get get good quality DT, CB, and FS in the second and third rounds.

It is sad but it looks like the Jets ruined Darnold. I would not offer much for him. He really only has one more cheap year, he is injured prone, and the only good game I remember him playing was against the Cowboys. :omg:

Bengals and Chargers have just drafted QBs. They are not in competition with us. Jags probably take a QB. The big question is if the Jets want to move on from Darnold.

The first thing the Jets need to do is move on from Gase. He almost ruined Tannehill, who amazingly turned into a competent QB once he got away from Gase.

Darnold needs a fresh start elsewhere, but if the Jets keep Gase they're not doing the next QB any favors.

We dont need "good quality" we need a baller on the defensive side of the ball. Those blue chippers are typically not picked on the second day. I am all for trading down not too far. This team takes sewell the team will still suck unless you trading tyron for an impactful defensive player

Realistically, I think Dallas finishes with 5 or 6 wins.
We aren't going to out-tank professional tanking teams. --See CIN/JAX/NYJ
My current guess is we draft 7-9 and I am more than fine with that.
Draft a bit earlier you are still likely looking to trade down as you don't want any of the QBs and 4 of those should go top 12.
Scratch Sewell as he'll go to CIN.
I'd pass on Parsons for sure.
I pass on TE even tho it's a heck of a TE.
I also pass on JaMarr Chase and Jaylen Waddle
So out of Dane Brugler's top 10 that leaves me only 2 guys.
Both CB
Caleb Farley and Surtain Jr.
And they'd probably be my targets regardless of where we finished.

All in all I don't see the top of draft guy I need at 3 or 4 here. I'd love to trade down at least once and still net a CB.
I think there are about 5 which are R1 grades currently.

And if I can pick up a mid R2 I sure like guys like Jevon Holland and Dylan Moses who were R1 locks for many coming into the year. --Holland opted out and Moses hasn't been quite as explosive after injury.
Let's see if I go down to say 11 and take Farley
Come back in R2 now armed with 2 picks and take both Dylan Moses and Jevon Holland.
I've done a number of defense here.
Holland and Farley should be day 1 starters.
Moses might not start but should play a lot day 1 and start by year 2 at the latest.

Wilson is no longer the 3rd rated QB.
But yes if they finish 4th trading down would be perfect.

I just don't think they'll finish with pick 4. Too many bad teams and winnable games left for Dallas.

Egirls, Bengals, Gnats, Ravens and SF. Where are the wins. Maybe Bengals but the gnats thought they had a cupcake yesterday also.

Current Draft Order / Week 13 Opponent
1. NY Jets 0-11 .589 SOS / vs Las Vegas
2. Jacksonville 1-10 .555 SOS / at Minnesota
3. Cincinnati 2-8-1 .541 SOS / at Miami
4. Dallas 3-8 .488 SOS / at Baltimore
5. LA Chargers 3-8 .492 SOS / vs New England
6. Carolina 4-8 .535 SOS / bye week
7. Philadelphia 3-6-1 .520 SOS / vs Seattle (Mon Night) and at Green Bay
8. Washington 4-7 / .468 SOS / at Pittsburgh
9. Detroit 4-7 .506 SOS / at Chicago
10. Atlanta 4-7 .531 SOS / vs New Orleans
11. Houston 4-7 .549 SOS / vs Indianapolis
12. Denver 4-7 .565 SOS / at Kansas City

These teams are all playing better teams in Week 13. Don't expect many wins from this group.

Week 13 - Best "Realistic" Scenario for Dallas
1. NY Jets 1-10
2. Jacksonville 2-10
3. Dallas 3-9 - If we lose and Cincinnati upsets Miami, we could up one spot.
4. Cincinnati 3-8-1 - Kinda wish they would have beat the Giants. Not sure they'll win another game.

Dallas can move into the 3rd draft spot if Cincinnati wins and both Dallas and the Chargers lose. Dallas also needs to maintain their slim SOS lead over the Chargers.

Week 13 - Worst "Realistic" Scenario for Dallas
1. NY Jets 0-12 .589 SOS
2. Jacksonville 1-11 .555 SOS
3. Cincinnati 2-9-1 .541
4. LA Chargers 3-9 .492
5. Philadelphia 3-8-1 .520
6. Washington 4-8 .468
7. Dallas 4-8 .488
8. Detroit 4-8 .506
9. Atlanta 4-8 .531
10. Carolina 4-8 .535
11. Houston 4-8 .549
12. Denver 4-8 .565

Dallas' SOS vs Washington has flipped over the past month. However, that should get closer again over the remaining weeks of the season. However, it would be in Dallas' best interest to remain a game behind (ahead?) of Washington.
appreciate the consolidation and effort.

i don’t know that you can say 4th sucks....still incredible talent but maybe not the top qb or top OT....we’re not talking about 14th vs 3....and there is always the trade back scenario.

there will be plenty of incredible players there for us to choose at positions we really need, don’t worry

I get your point but at this moment I don’t see the talent on D at the top of the draft.....yet. Maybe that will change by the time it gets here but right now to me it looks like there is Lawrence, Fields. And the OT at 1-3 and then a considerable drop off .

Every scout and teams board is different. There will be teams who have Mac Jones from Alabama 3rd or Trey Lance even though he’s like one of those Europeans in basketball no ones ever watched.

Have the Cowboys ever won against the Bengals in Cincinnati?

If you are on Team Draft a Quarterback, Cincy is a weird one. Conventional wisdom says they shouldn't take a quarterback. They just took one. And they definitely need the OT who appears set to slot there. But if I were them, I would think strongly about Steve Walshing it. And now with Burrow having a serious injury .....

No chance that, even for the Bengals, they will be drafting a QB in the top half of this year's draft or for the next handful of drafts for that matter. The ownership, the coaches, the team & the city are 100% behind Burrow and rightfully so. The kid is a class act and will be one of the best QBs in the league for years to come. In a perfect 'Madden' world, his helmet would look solid w/ a star on it. From everything that I've read, he tore his ACL & MCL and did significant damage to his PCL but is expected to make a full recovery. Read where it was noted that his injury, though still bad, doesn't compare to what Bridgewater's knee looked like and he's doing quite well for himself, IMO. Oh, and he spent this entire past week, post-injury, attending team meetings while waiting for his surgery date to arrive.

Back to the topic at hand, his team needs to protect him and start building a defense because the current one makes Jaylon look like the best lb'er the NFL has seen over the past decade. On the plus side, he has solid weapons minus the aging & shell of his former self AJ Green. Mixon is a top 10 RB, Boyd is a very underrated WR and Tee Higgins looks like one of the best picks from last year's draft. Not sure what is wrong w/ John Ross, because he can't seem to see the field two weeks in a row, but he can flat fly and surely could be a weapon if used right. With that being said, and if I was a betting man, Cincinnati goes OL & DL heavy in this year's draft.

If I were the Eagles I'd be interested in trading Nick Foles plus a 1st for Carson Wentz.
I'd then restructure Wentz contract so it was cheaper the next 2 years and give him a shot with this offensive staff that grew out of the Reid tree same as Eagles did.

Darnold is interesting and someone will give him a shot but he's been pretty rough. Is he really much different than Mitch as a very high pick bust?

I think there will be a fairly large QB carousel next season. Likely 3 rookies start and then you have about 5-6 OTHER places doing some type of roulette based on who they believe in.
Obviously, Tampa and New Orleans may be in that mix.

You do know no matter the scenario, Jerry Dumbo GM Jones is still going draft the player. So, what's the scenario for that?
