Every Qb overthrows once in awhile. This idea that another QB does it, proving bias against Dak, is a false argument. What we talk about regarding Dak is a ‘tendency’ and ‘consistent pattern’ that goes back to his college days and continues to rear its ugly head, over and over and over again. Dak is who he is.
I already said Dak can throw deep, provided it’s his first read and he knows where he is going. This obfuscated the whole “can’t throw deep” claim. The issue is when he needs to go through his progressions or his inability to do throw from a traditional drop back which limits the offense, the times he starts throwing with his arm, his sloppy footwork, often exacerbated by his bulky frame, he is not accurate. You can argue Big Ben or Marino is or was bulky, but both are traditional pure pocket passers that, and in their prime, could launch it from any angle.
