This season ranks right up there with any of the worst seasons in Cowboy history. We had the high expectations to make a real run at the Super Bowl. We were in a weak division... we had a new Super Bowl winning coach and an improved defensive coaching staff... we had arguably the best receiver in the draft added to our team... our OLine should once again be strong... our best LB was healthy again and there was a lot of hope... then COVID19 hit.

It's finally over and I must say, I'm gonna drink the Kool Aid for next year. We have a lot to build on and I got a good feeling about next year. I thinkMcCarty will get this ship righted. We'll see.

Ill have cup , nothing wrong with hope :) cheers

WASHINGTON WON, this game meant nothing we got 10th overall draft pick now..i can live with it,,bad year is over turn to FA, Daks deal, and then the draft...

BTW IMHO it was not near the worse year in DC history many worse to choose from like the campo years 5=11 ring bell 3 straight years no talent, this backup team was better then them, the first 2 years on the Jimmy era, and I4-12 just missing Romo, and IMO last season one of the most disappointing because 8-8 when healthy with that team, down the stretch was the worst feeling ive had in long time.. to me last season the most disappointing in the last 10years

One season w/a handful of players & no preseason didn't help this new coaching staff. A car certainly doesn't run well on one cylinder.

"Turn out the lights, the party's over,
They say that all good things must end,
Turn out the lights, the party's over,
Next year starts the same old crap again"

Yeah I think with a little luck 8-8 or even 9-7 is a possibility next year. That seems to be about average for this team over the last 25 plus years

Every year says "this is the year" well it's not. 2021 will be a crappy season too because we have crappy players on Defense.

Perhaps we can turn it around by 2023.

Who is "we"? Some of us were saying 9-7/8-8 (a few said worse) before the season.

I never understood how losing Byron Jones, adding Cee Dee Lamb, and replacing JG with McCarthy suddenly transformed an 8-8 team into a threat to the KC Chiefs. You either had to greatly overestimate the talent level, greatly overestimate JG's impact on losing, greatly overestimate McCarthy, or all of the above.

It was more or less the same team from 2019, but with new coaches. Then the other thing happened and there were some injuries...

It’s all perspective. ‘89 there were little expectations and the Campo years we just didn’t have the personnel yet this year we had a much stronger nucleus but our Oline crapped out, our QB injured and our 2 FA DTs **** the bed one because he was just plain fat and the other injured.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances we are one of the powerhouses next year.

We certainly had an overload of unforeseen circumstances for this season. That means we won't have any next season, right?
