That game was an obvious tank, but nothing is going to be done about it.

Even the Whatevers barely even celebrated winning, even they could tell the tank was on.

The product on the field has been deteriorating for years... and the NFL seems fine with it. While what Philly did further muddies the water— The league will not do anything about it— even though they should.

Nothing will come from it but Sal Pal is an Eagles homer so for him to say this, it's kind of funny.

Nothing should come from it. As much as I don't like tanking a game, it happens all the time at the end of seasons. Pittsburgh held back players and their loss affected Miami.

If they go after Philly for this then anytime a team doesn't go all out to win when losing might affect another team is also fair game.

I would love to see the NFL move Philly's pick down to the last pick before the playoff teams. Zero chance of it happening but this was really blatant.

Exactly why the league should step in and penalize them, sending a clear message.

Actually for someone who is a fan of a team that knowingly starts something that could hurt that team shows that he's actually for playing by the rules and not just being a homer.

A homer but Sal has definitely been more critical of the Eagles in recent years...

NFL needs to go to a lottery system for the top ten picks.....

I've never thought that was fair either. A bad team, whether it's because of players or coaches or both who really need the top pick could end up with the 101th pick. Yes the worse a team's record is the more chances they get but it's still possible and on the other side a team like the Cowboys who were within 1 game of winning a division could end up with the 1st pick and that's not fair either.

What message would it send? What would they be penalized for? Can't be penalized for being blatant.

How about not doing everything they could to win the game which is required by the league.

A clear message about what?

They can put whatever players they want on the field. "Plays these particular guys, or else!" That's nonsense.

If they start intentionally running back to their goal line and laying the ball down for the opponent to recover that's another matter.
