One attribute of Lamb's game in college got him into that 1st round, YAC. He was a tackle breaking fool and that was the majority of his yards. He was by far the best at that and it wasn't even close. He got more yards after catch than before the catch. He was excellent at that but he was just a moderate route runner because he didn't have to be.

That is one attribute that does not transfer to the NFL as well as hands, route running and speed because of the level of play of the defenders, although you couldn't tell it this year as the tackling was awful.

Lamb was not a bad pick, he is a good player but saying he's a future All Pro is pushing it. The proof that he can replace either Cooper or Gallup remains to be seen. But that needs to happen to justify his draft position.

There's another possible hitch in this. We needed D help, Booger took a WR and he turned out to have a very good season. Does this affect us going forward and do we push the development of the D back even further.

Which side of this do you think Booger is on? It is better to score more points through offense than to prevent less points through defense. Now, which side of that do you think Landry, Johnson and Parcells were on? McVay is an offensive wunderkind yet it is his D making his name and they did it again yesterday.

i dont think they go after a OL early in the draft its deep and kif that is target it will be 2nd or 3rd round but after using so many backups this season and getting a lot of experience to Knight an Steele plus possible bring Erving back, we are covered all over the oline + backups. Must have defense..

wont need crystal ball because FA is long before draft , so we will know what holes they filled, who they kept and or went after then the draft will be more clear..

BTW is TS does have gut feeling he might opt out this season he better not pull a witten, he best tell the FO hes feeling that way before the draft..

LC is one of the best right tackles and I don't know how he will do on the left. That would be great. I do think the back ups play at back up level.

Cowboys always draft an OL in every draft. I can't see that trend stopping now. The FA window opens before draft but after the draft that’s when you see some teams releasing players as their replacements were drafted, trading, or now are cornered into grabbing what is left.

I agree. I don't think TS will do that. He will do it early if he does.

The number one reason I feel BPA is the way to go is because there's a stronger chance the BPA will have staying power and you can hold accountability to those that ranked them that way. If you are strong at a group then trading is an option. Not to mention 20% of rosters are composed of undrafted free agents.

I know it's the norm but roster turnover from one year to the next always shocks me. Cowboys have 23 UFA's. If you look at that list, quite a few of them are gone if they don't come back cheap.

I too hope for a strong defensive haul.

I couldn't have been happier with us picking CeeDee. He was actually my "pipe dream" pick last year, the guy I thought we didn't have a shot at.
