Dak and Watson are the same caliber player. Only reason some people think Watson is better is because he was drafted 1st round. If Dak was a 1st round pick and Watson was selected in the 4th the narratives would be reversed. It’s just how the NFL works. Priors are everything

People keep acting as if talent isnt a thing.

Some QBs have cannons for an arm.

Some are faster than most WRS.

Some have the brain of a nerd.

Tell me one thing Dak has.

Only one..

/QUOTE]
  1. Off the charts leadership abilities
  2. Strong as an ox
  3. Threat in the red zone to score it in because of his running ability
  4. Accurate arm (backed up by his completion percentage and passer rating despite throwing to wr's who lead the league in drops)
To act as if Dak has nothing to bring to the table reflects on you...not him. I'm against backing up a Brinks truck for any one player, but Dak has plenty of talent to win in this league.

Agreed.

Dak is better at football than me and you.

But my point was that is just like any other average QB in the NFL.

By average QB i mean the Cousins and Tannehills of the world.

His supporters would have you believe that Dak is better than Rodgers and Brady

Wasn't Prescott 2-3 this year? Isn't that under .500?

The two wins, one courtesy the dumbest play of the year(thanks Atlanta), the other courtesy Andy Dalton.

Question, does Dak have more than five games played in the NFL?

How about reading previous post.

The OP said season, not career, when speaking about .500 records.

20 years from now when Prescott has long been gone the record will show that he was 2-3 in 2020. That is under .500.

Dumb argument. Nice sample size to evaluate a QB, that left due to injury.

I like Dak and have defended him multiple times but in this case you are right. OP didn't say full season he just said season. This season Dak played 5 games and went 2-3 in which case is a losing record.

The argument can be said Dak has never had a losing season when playing a full season.

Watson still proved he can’t carry a team.

i still would rather have Watson than dak for that kind of money. The only advantage of dak currently is if he is at a huge discount. Watson is 2x the qb.

Watson was a 2nd rounder (edit: no he wasn't, where the hell did I get that lol?) but point is kind of true. I think it's more the legs/improvising, but he is streaky like Dak. He has standout features where Dak can make a sharp throw from time to time. More flair, but both kind of in the same boat...I'd take Dak personally.

They really are close to the same player.

I never seen a such a double-standard for a player like Dak vs garbage time Watson.

Dak never had a season below .500 season, #1 WR like Hopkins for entire rookie contract & a top 15 defense. Keep betting on the wrong horse, he’s going to prove everyone wrong next season.

Garbage time is only applied to cowboy player stats.....per this site

I think the correct saying would be that “Dallas has never finished below .500 in any season that Dak started the majority of the games”

This was true with Tony too, btw.

Could the Dak is Awesome! crowd stop starting threads comparing Dak to Watson or current Wentz or whomever and start comparing him to Mahomes and Rodgers?
