I think you fix the offensive line and work on Wentz mechanics and he could make a come back
:hammer:

and use hurts as well much like NO uses Twill..theres a way to better utilize both qbs and Pederson didnt do that well toward the end of the season..could have used both also like Fitz and Tua..

Wentz was on his way to the MVP the SB year. Ever since that injury and riding the pine watching the backup win the SB his psyche is shot. He needs a sports psychologist bad.

if I were a Iggles fan, I'd side with the Owner Lurie and GM in supporting Wentz, and giving him every option and resources possible to know he's the guy- especially after committing the
multiple high draft picks it took first acquire him in a mega trade ..and then the monster dollar contract recently committed to him.

I've said several times over that I thought Iggles losing OC Frank Reich (departed to be Indy HC after Pats' Josh Daniels double crossed Indy at the alter) caused the biggest decline in Wentz's
game since. i'd like to know that I did everything in my power before deciding to move on to a new franchise QB.
And I didn't think Iggles did that at all.

Having a shambled OL didn't help matters, nor bypassing Justin Jefferson for Jalen Reagor whose basically another Nelson Agular. And Pederson had those typical pass happy fever to
want to go on a passing frenzy and abandon the run game. and that further more did not help Wentz's matters.

Pederson wasn't able to reach Wentz,.. his sense of pass pressure, bad ball handling, and costly decisions, holding the ball forever for unneccesary killer sacks, his game just crumbled
while Dak's game under proper coaches seemed to excel more - it used to a credible debate with Dak vs Wentz, ..but now it's not even near close between the two.

Only figures the owner would want the QB he paid all the money to. Philly would’ve been better off staying with Nick Foles who played well for them. He doesn’t play well anywhere else but Philly.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie’s decision to fire coach Doug Pederson may have stemmed from a difference of opinion about who should be the team’s starting quarterback going forward.

Pederson thinks Jalen Hurts gives the Eagles the best chance to win, and Lurie wants to salvage Carson Wentz, according to Troy Aikman, who said on Michael Irvin’s podcast that he spoke to Pederson after Pederson was fired.

I reached out to Doug Pederson yesterday when I heard the news,” Aikman said. “What I gathered it came down to was a difference of opinion as to how they’re moving forward at the quarterback position, is what I sensed. Jeff Lurie, the owner, has paid a lot of money to Carson Wentz, and they’re on the hook with him, they can’t get out of that contract right away. It’s my belief that Doug Pederson felt that Jalen Hurts is probably the quarterback going forward. And how does that mesh?”

Not interesting.

Pederson was probably correct.
But how did he feel when they were negotiating the extension with Wentz? I highly doubt he was saying Wentz was a pud and warning against the extension. Maybe, but if so, that would speak to the working relationship between coach and FO at that time and it wouldn’t have been positive.

Based on what I saw at the end of the season, Hurts looked much more dynamic than Wentz. But I certainly understand the investment that Lurie made in Wentz. Tough place for them to be in, but I am not sad about it.

Then they shouldn't have drafted Hurts in the first place.

..Lurie going with the sunk cost fallacy. Wentz is to expensive to admit a mistake might of occurred. Pederson shines brighter in this case.

Who knows with them.....if you start Wentz again Hurts will want a trade and Wentz had already said he wanted to be traded

Wentz wanted traded because Pederson. That problem has resolved itself.

As for Hurts wanting a trade, he's a 2nd round rookie who started a few games and got worse each game. He's in no position to demand anything.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. You had to know Wentz was a big part of the reason Doug was fired.

If Jerry had done that everyone would be blowing up talking about how he’s meddling and trying to be the coach. Telling the coach who to play because of contract numbers, lol. Philly is a wreck...

They're doing just that on the Philly radio station. They even brought up Jerry Jones.
