Be fair and impartial. Not that hard to do.
You should follow your own advice.

What's the risk? Prescott and his representatives have been in an impasse with the Cowboys FO going on three offseasons now. If the team is balking on the player requests, non-exclusive tag on him, see what other franchises pursue him and offer. Cowboys have the right to match it. If they really want Prescott, the offer is matched -- and #4 remains in Dallas for 2022 and beyond. That's a risk not worth gambling.
They should have already signed him. The price goes up as time goes on. Tagging him will cost 38 million, not being spread out. What's the risk? His market value would be lower than normal bc of the injury. That's a risk not worth gambling.
It's my opinion, but I doubt his injury has any impact. It's also not reasonable that a team would give 2 first round picks. I would take it, but it most likely won't happen and finding a QB isn't something to take lightly. Look at our track record. His market value would be lower than normal bc of the injury.
If some team gave him an outlandish contract, then take the 2 first round picks as compensation and move on.
If any offers come in, then you then have fair market negotiations based on true market value.
Point is -- Cowboys and Prescott did not come to an agreement --again.They should have already signed him. The price goes up as time goes on. Tagging him will cost 38 million, not being spread out.
Point is tagging him is 38 million on the cap. No one is giving us 2 first round picks.Point is -- Cowboys and Prescott did not come to an agreement --again.
If no deal is reached by the end of March....place him on the non-exclusive tag.
It allows other teams to offer a contract. Dallas either matches or accepts the compensation-- then immediately looks for their 2021 starting QB elsewhere.

The rule is: If a team places the non-exclusive tag on a player, it grants other teams to negotiate a contract to acquire that player.Point is tagging him is 38 million on the cap. No one is giving us 2 first round picks.
Lol, I know. It's not going to happen. The rule is: If a team places the non-exclusive tag on a player, it grants other teams to negotiate a contract to acquire that player.
If the player reaches an agreement with another team, the former team of that player is awarded two first-round picks as compensation. Look it up on NFL.COM.
The legend of Dak keeps getting inflated by the Church of Dak. All based on meaningless stats that have gotten this team nowhere.
Mostly everyone weighing in with an opinion is in agreement.Lol, I know. It's not going to happen.
There's a reason they tagged him on the exclusive franchise tag. If they weren't sold and wanted to take a chance, they wouldn't have.Mostly everyone weighing in with an opinion is in agreement.
But there's still no agreement between the Cowboys and Prescott yet, so other options still open.
I'm not disagreeing with that. What I am stating is if a contract is not agreed to this spring (no matter how long or the $$$), the Cowboys will tag Prescott again. There's a reason they tagged him on the exclusive franchise tag. If they weren't sold and wanted to take a chance, they wouldn't have.

My preference is to use the non-exclusive tag instead of the exclusive one.
Since it SEEMS the Cowboys don't want to meet Dak's request so far --put him in the position to see if another team(s) covet him more.
Then...no matter what the offer is...the Cowboys pony up or walk away.
What's chocking?
We are now. That’s stupid just let him walk then. Stop being a whiny loser because you know the team is gonna be straight garbage if he leaves.
We are now.
