Super bowl ××× was the first cowboys game I watched and my cowboys fandom officially started that day.my grandfather said it might be the last time he got to see the cowboys in the super bowl .sadly he was right. I was 20 at the time and thought the cowboys would win the super bowl every year:lmao2:

That was also the I started to take a interest in sports in general . I remember also watching basketball and baseball and watching the bulls beat the Sonics in the NBA finals and the Yankees beat the Braves in the world series. I followed the summer Olympics in Atlanta too.I also went out for basketball that summer. St o much nostalgia and memories. It was such a sweet, innocent time.

25 years ago, if you would have said cowboys won't make it back to a NFCCG in the next 25 years, I would have bet you my life's saving that they would, laugh at you and called you "crazy".

To all here at Cowboys Zone: Your memories of the game - those fortunate to be there in person; watching on TV - where you were and with whom you were with; the players and plays throughout the game that stick with you.
I was in a bar in San Diego, CA.
You'd be surprised how many cowboy's fan there are/were in CA. Fans in Thousand Oaks doesn't do it justice.

I remember watching us beat the Steelers and it was so sweet.

But at the same time I was thinking that the Boys great team was already beginning to come to an end. The O line was not what it had been a couple of years earlier; Nate Newton was about done; and I could see problems coming up. One must remember that the Steeler D pretty much stuffed our running game in the second half. Our D was not what it was; thankfully O'Donnel was in a very GIVING mood that day.
I felt the same way. The Cowboys had a difficult time defending the Steelers 4 wr offense they were running. The Steelers had all the momentum. Those 2 O'Donnel int's decided the outcome. I was extremely nervous watching that game.

I appreciate EVERYONE posting their comments about that last championship game. Your "When-Where-Who-Why" moments bring back what the Cowboys were about back then - not only to us - but to the rest of the NFL fan base.
As a few Fans have stated -- I was extremely nervous how SB XXX had the look of a rout--- then Dallas became discombobulated. Second half was "pins and needles time".

Honestly, I was sweating bullets.
We took on the persona of Jimmy Johnson when we won Super Bowls 27 and 28. Confident. Fearless. Bold. Powerful.
We took on the persona of Barry Switzer when we won Super Bowl 30. Clueless. Mistake-prone. Buffoonish. Confused.
At first, I thought the game would be a blow-out. But then that BS persona began, and we almost choked it away.
I could see it coming. And I was scared we'd be 3-0 vs. the Steelers in Super Bowls.
Then ... Neil O'Donnell came through for us. Whew!
Has Jerry Jones inducted him into the Ring of Honor yet?

Yeah, I was worried at the end too. I could also tell the Cowboys were starting to fade. Dallas was fortunate to be in that SB. In the regular season the 49ers beat the crap out of us in Dallas with a backup QB. I had zero confidence if Dallas had to play them in the championship game. I think that was the 3rd straight win the 49ers had against a Switzer led Cowboys team. But the Packers played a near flawless game to beat the 49ers. Got a little lucky too. I knew then Dallas was going back. Dallas never lost to that Packers team.

I was two weeks from turning 16 years old, watched the game in my parents media room on the big screen, and ran around like a school girl after Larry’s second pick.

I agree. I thought the 49ers would stomp us. Fortunately, Green Bay came through.

I remember driving in a snowstorm the day after Super Bowl XXX. Something came over me. I just wasn't as happy as I should've been. I couldn't pinpoint it. In retrospect I guess I knew it was the beginning of the end. But I never thought it would take this long to get back. Those were some magical years of hoisting the Lombardi. Will we experience it again anytime soon?

Sometimes it's about match-ups. The Cowboys couldn't beat the 49ers under Switzer. The 49ers didn't macthup well against the Packers. The Cowboys had the Packers number.

'Boyzmamacita' - there has been a recent trend of former Champions being in very long conference title droughts who finally pushed through to make it back.

Bills: 1993 \ 2020 - 27 seasons
Chiefs: 1993 \ 2018 - 25 seasons
Buccaneers 2002 \ 2020 - 18 seasons
Rams: 2001 \ 2019 - 18 seasons
Titans 2002 \ 2019 - 17 seasons
Eagles 2004 \ 2018 - 14 seasons

Three AFC and three NFC franchises.
Cowboys need to get it together - push through - and join this group.

As a fan that last SB was more of a relief that we won than exhaltation... you could see the tires starting to fall off...the arrogance was rubbing off on average players that contributed little and Switzer had little control....Jones rested on his laurels thinking it was this easy.. 25 years later this is all we got as Cowboy fans.....memories.

Lol. We all need hats now, at least in Florida.

I lived in South Florida for 14 years. Been thinking of going back there.
And I wear a hat most of the time here in Texas now days. LOL.
