"But my guess is, and I feel confident saying this, Jerry Jones is hopeful that Mike McCarthy will be the head coach for the next 10 years, because that means a lot of good things are happening. If that’s not the case, yeah I think Kellen Moore would certainly be a candidate."

I would bwahahaha if OC Boy Genius II takes over for Fat Dumpy HC again.

This has all happened before. It will all happen again.

If the Cowboys talented offensive continues to be one of the league’s best under Moore in the coming years the Cowboys will have no choice but to promote Moore, or watch him be poached away by one of the inevitable teams looking for the next state of the art offensive coaching hire. A good problem for the Cowboys to have, but a potential storyline to watch as next season unfolds.
I wouldn't mind seeing Aikman in the GM role and Moore in the HC role.

If McCarthy gets fired it means this team has failed.

In what world do you then promote the OC of the before-mentioned failed team?

Again?

One, he's not the guy some of you so desperately hope he is, and two, such a flawed strategy.

The only way Kellen Moore should be the next HC is if the team succeeds, wins championships and McCarthy wants to retire.

I think Aikman would be horrible. Hell he can barely get through a telecast anymore.....doesn't even know half the rosters anymore. Sorry...the game has passed him by. Listen to Romo...then listen to Aikman....then tell me Troy has kept up w/ today's terminology. He's clueless.

I called KM the future HC way back when he was promoted to QB coach for no reason other than he stunk up the joint as an actual QB.

Ehhh that's a bit harsh. Just because he isn't as good as Romo doesn't make him bad. Joe Buck is the terrible one.

PLEASE NO! Moore would be a carbon copy of Garrett. Why does Dallas always look at back-up quarterbacks for their head coaching positions. Crazy!

I would have kept that quiet. :muttley:

AIkman comes across like a science teacher or math teacher when he explains things....Romo sounds like the band director. If Romo was just rah rah and exciteable, it would wear off really quickly. But he is giving so much detailed information while doing it in his style...there is no comparison these days. Romo all the way. And it is hilarious listening to other announcers try calling the play before it happens....there is no one close to Romo in that regard.

Unlike JG Moore is probably just fine at being an OC at 31. What a dream job.

What has KM show us so far that warrants the tag of “future HC”? His offense is vanilla and is downright pathetic in the red zone. When he was promoted to OC all we heard was these buzzwords “offensive genius” “creative”. I don’t see that in Dallas’s offense.

I could see him being the HC-in-waiting after the Boise deal fell apart and we backed up a Brinks truck to pay him bigger money. At that moment, maybe. Just because we did right by him by apparently paying him more than Boise was offering to be the head guy. That's a nice feather for his cap.

But if it's true that he interviewed with the Eagles after all that, then it seems like he's still actively exploring his avenues out of here... so I really don't think it's reasonable to say he's the guy in waiting. I mean, he seems to actively be disinterested in waiting.

future is ok

how far i the future is the question???

if thats 4 years from now and hes ready and MM retires or gets released , why not?,theres been so very left field oddball hiring's of Hcs the last 3 seasons in the NFL, so why not KM, Moore should no be held responsible for Garrets failings..its not the same .

they are different people and KM could be the next shanahan or Mcvay, you or i do not know until we see how he handles it..

the its mistake before it happens is garbage..he needs a few more years of seasoning as a OC for sure and let see how that works out before getting bent theres even a rumor he hc in waiting..

Philly did interview him did they not..well that means hes at last in the conversation..

I wouldn't mind seeing Aikman in the GM role...

But that would make our Owner, President, and General Manager uncomfortable. Our Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Player Personnel, and President of AT&T Stadium probably wouldn't find fun in that, either.

That they give themselves all of those lofty titles is comical. Who are they trying to convince? :muttley:
