Clearly Skip is entitled to his opinion but I base no views off of a man I have no respect for him, well before Dak ever played in Dallas. What skip says or thinks I take with a grain of salt.

I'm not sure I would say Dak is overrated.

The level you need to achieve consistently to be a great quarterback is underrated.

Gotta love rants like that, tell me, what is the one definition of "overrated"? I can say Brady is overrated, because he's "lost" 3 SBs and should have lost another. By the standard of w/l records, he's behind Bradshaw, Montana and Aikman, who all won at least 3 SBs without a loss. (Wouldn't add in guys like Roethsliberger, he played so poorly in one of the Steelers' wins I'd hardly count that as a win).

One of those things that you can't win an argument against just because the term is so nebulous...

This is what happens when you do a 24/7 sports network - there is only so much you can fit into the entire day. Add to this the fact that the personalities on the shows are former football players and most of these guys don't really have anything original to say. They are guys who entertained on the field but these same guys have no way to entertain onscreen where you have to have the ability to entertain with words. This is why all these shows end up as comparisons of different players etc.

When you take context into account.. The contract.. He's incredibly overrated.

The market of stupidity claims that's what he is worth it though supposedly so your options are find a new QB or participate in the market of stupidity.

Sadly, it’s the market.

If we choose not to pay Dak, we just kick the can down the line and pay the next guy and so on.

Cap continues going well up so salaries do as well. We were lucky to land Dak in the 4th. The draft hasn’t been kind of many QBs lately drafted high.

2016 was terrible. 2017 has Mahomes and Watson. 2018 has Lamar and a few average guys. It’s a gamble either way you go here.

In a perfect world, you draft a QB, let him play out his deal and move to the next guy and never pay the big money. That’s what all teams wish they could do outside of probably KC

they are both correct comes to the middle of the argument and thats the truth..

same around here with the entire taste great less filling crowds going at it , its cut straight down the middle is where the truth lies with dak..

This isnt just football. This how markets work. Watch a car from the 1960's sell for over $100K at the Barrett Jackson auctions. The reality is its on old car with old tech and would lose in a race, comfort and reliability to a new Hyundai Sonata.
Supply and demand determine worth. Everything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Its only when you buy something for more than anyone else would pay is it a bad deal.

I would move on until this market stalls or resets. It's way too inflated and crushing teams that are signing the Dak types to elite deals.

I'm more concerned about the % of cap space they take up then I am the 40 million a year.
