There have been lots of "upsets" with Dak under center. A viable alternative? I don't have one, and maybe we find one and maybe we don't if we move on from Dak. But I know that we stand a better chance of fixing other garbage areas of the team if we don't go all-in on Dak. Even if you think Dak is a top QB, how far will he get us as things stand? Without some major upgrades, we already know the answer.

That makes a lot of sense. But if the Cowboys fix their defense and their offensive line this offseason with the money saved by not paying Dak, will it matter if they get the next Mitch Trubisky or Sam Darnold to play QB?

You get the QB in place and build around him. The Cowboys are failing Dak the same way they wasted Romo's career. Whenever one part of the roster was great (see the 2014 o-line), another part was garbage (like the defense), etc..

Sorry! not in the games that matter. History doesn't lie.
He’s won more games that mattered that any of the quarterback since he’s been in the league. More fourth-quarter comebacks prime time wins. Stop it. The kid is a winner

Dak has never had a losing season in his career. he has also beat a lot of teams that we were under dogs.

and so tell me how many upsets have there been? you just throw out a statement, without any qualification. you said jets...ok, how many teams were we favored to win and lost to with Dak? and given you like to live in a vaccum measuring Dak, I will ask you to tell me the same for other QBs as well....just so to help you get out of a vaccum.

and how do you plan to beat garbage areas? what are these garbage areas? how much will it cost to fix these garbage areas? who is available to fix the garbage area? how much will it cost? how will you compensate for lack of QB play, when we clearly saw the results for ourselves this year with and without Dak.

The Dak haters have an agenda and no amount of stats, facts, or otherwise is changing their minds. Prescott was playing at an MVP level in 2020 without an offensive line and getting zero support from the worst defense in football.

Also, with Dak the Cowboys would have beaten WFT at least once, would have won the DiNucci game at Philly, would have beaten the Steelers, and would have beat the Giants in the finale. That means this terrible 6-10 Cowboys team would have won at least ten games in my opinion.
that wasn't the worst defense in football in 2020. that was HISTORICALLY WORST defense in football. just thought I will make a slight correction

I thought Dak should have accepted the deal that Dallas proposed at the end of their bargaining sessions last year. I think both sides are to blame for their failures to agree to a contract. I'm hoping they come to their senses before regrets result for both sides. I still think Dak should have fired his agent well before this year ever began. With all that's happened, I've got to say I'm sick and tired of this ongoing fiasco to the point where I just don't care what happens anymore. I can easily picture a scenario where both Dak and the Cowboys go separate ways. Ultimately, maybe it's for the best.

haven't you figured out the rule at extremecowboyszone.com that any game we win (especially with Dak at QB) is by definition not a game that counts because Dak only loses games that count.

Vikings, Bills, Green Bay off the top of my head just in 2019. Oh, the Browns last season. Sorry, you'll have to do the homework on all the upsets if you need more qualification. And yes, we DID clearly see the results with Dak versus without him last season: we lost just the same. We can lose cheaper.

Why did they sign Collins, Amari, Zeke, Martin? Just let the $40 million Man carry the offense.....move over Brady, there's a new QB taking over the GOAT status.

Yep at this point it’s become too much of a distraction. Just pick a lane and be done

We should expect a longtime prominent personality in Dallas sports talk radio to offer his opinion on this narrative that is approaching benchmark status in Cowboys franchise history.

you avoided the other part of the question....has any other QB never lost or been upset by a team they were suppose to beat? Has Dak never beat a team that they were suppose to lose to?

and you think having a horrific, HISTORICALLY bad defense and losing by a couple of points is the same as getting blown out by 25? so you rather not have a chance at all and the game be decided by end of first quarter....awsome....

I avoided "that part" of the question because it is pointless to me. It comes down to is Dak worth it. To me, no, he's not worth the kind of money the market dictates, and not if we want to win a Super Bowl. With/without him, we may still never win a SB with our FO. Dak will have good games, he'll have bad games, but he won't carry this team by himself, and unless we can manage to pay him AND actually roll our sleeves up to build this team through other means besides the draft, it ain't happening. That means having enough money to go outside the bargain bin in FA. And part of this mess doesn't even have to do with Dak, but abysmal contracts already dished out by Daddy and Son.

EDIT: This is, of course, working under the assumption that Dak is even at the same level he left off at following snapping his leg.

Is he saying it "imminent"?

It's almost like I have heard that before ....
