What’s the chance fans will accept the signing and that Dak is the QB?

The deal is done. We fans have no choice to accept. I didn't think it made sense whatsoever but I don't have any personal issue with Dak. I didn't think Dak could overcome the shortcomings of this team and carry them to extra wins. He is a good qb, period. Never will be elite and the Cowboys paid him as he is top3 guy. There is the rub and now we will live with it.
Dak came in with an elite oline and average weapons. Now its the opposite. He got paid because he put up huge stats and also more mediocre records.
It's very simple guys and gals. Really it's SB or bust and I think it will not be a SB as its been since 1995 since we last won. It will not happen with this coaching staff and players.

Well then same applied with Romo. He padded stats which led to mediocre records. But he was elite to posters here. If that's the criteria, then Dak is elite.

Lol good luck with that. You're talking about a group that would rather see dak play poorly than see the team win.
You can't tie your fandom to this site. Your head will be close to exploding. It's not just the ridiculous Dak opinions, it's other players too.

I felt the same way about Romo which I why I shed no tears for him retiring. He was a good Qb when you needed a great QB to compete for a SB.I always felt a good majority of fans have a Romo Stockholm Syndrome, obsessed with a good player. He never won any meaningful games... never got past the second round... it is what it is now.
I don’t see Dak taking us to a SB, not even a championship game. We don’t have the offensive and defensive lines or secondary to compete. I feel like our lot in life is to be the frisky team, Jerry is content with being 8-8. Don’t listen to what he says see what he does. Phillips, Garret, Big Mike. Not one young innovative hire. He likes who he can control. The record speaks for itself. This move cements even more of my beliefs around this team an organization. We did what all the other dumb teams have done. Overpay a good QB and will immediately regret it next year.
Dak is no Rodgers, Brady, Mahomes, Watson, Wilson type.

13 years of Jason Garrett really did it for me. Dak was just the final straw.

Yeah.. I hear you.

Those of us who have hopes of winning championships have really been kicked in the pills for awhile now.

Those happy for just relevance should feel good today.

Everyone has a right to his opinion, and this is a public forum, but is there any chance the so-called “haters,” mostly just people with low opinions of Dak as a QB, can now accept the signing and reality that Dak is the QB for a few years at least, and whether they are right or wrong about his future performance, at least root for him and let the rest of us enjoy wins without pointing out every flawed throw or decision?

I mean the past two seasons have really not been fun after wins in this forum.

Any chance some of you valued and excellent posters can save most of the negativity towards our QB for the losses? Let it flow after losses, and we will argue how much of the blame Dak deserves. All I ask is at least when OUR team wins a game, even if we go 1-15, try to let the rest of us enjoy that win until the next loss. I’m not saying your analysis isn’t valuable and even correct, but it’s a long season, and wins are hard to come by in the NFL. Let’s try to enjoy the wins and burn the whole place down after losses.

Yes , its accepted because the deal has been done . Yet that does not mean, I nor others will become DakTards unless he wins . Who gives a flying F about his 4th quarter numbers when the boys are down 30 points . Until this loser at QB actually wins , now , he will always be an overpaid crappy QB . Take away Year one and this guy blows .

Stupid title to the thread. There is nothing us fans can do, the damage or the virtue has been done.

Jerry and Dak will be best buds forever now and isn't that what really matters?

Been barely hanging on for a while. I usually even rooted for the Cowboys to get beat in the hopes it would bring change.
Now Dak is officially Garrett 2.0. He's long term. The Cowboys are dead.
