This dream of a dominant defense is not realistic.
Bend & don't break with a few games where sacks and turnovers happen is all you can ask.
With Dak as our QB our best bet is to get the OL and Zeke going again. That's when Dallas is at their best. Asking Dak to do more makes us average.

Exactly. I considered starting a similar thread myself. Regardless of whether a fan is happy or unhappy about signing Dak, it's a done deal and all there is left to do is support him and the team and hope the Cowboys can make the right moves within their budget to fill other needs.

Agreed that a truly dominant defense is very hard to come by, and certainly not reasonable to expect. But there does need to be some improvement in the defense though. I think we saw that happening a little as the season went on. From game 8 on the defense started getting turnovers at a rate I can't remember happening in many years.

I started settling into this mode yesterday. I really like Dak and having him. Don’t like the contract. But overall we are set at QB. We have weapons on offense and we have a new D coordinator and high draft picks. Let’s get it done for once! Ready for draft and season

Done deal. Root for your team. If you don’t like a player then ok. Been a few I didn’t care for or I should say didn’t think the money fit the talent. But when they made a play I cheered for my team.
Reminds me of the Romo deals. Everyone like the person but didn’t like paying him. Had a few chances but never got us a ring. Seems this team is always missing a element. Now it’s a Defense...
