I’m intrigued by this player. If anyone has any video please post.

He’s playing a lot of man coverage and for a 6’4 he looks really good and fluid doing it. Surprising.

The thing is.. He’s going to be sitting in cover 3 zone with his eyes in the backfield and batting down passes.

Was it a reach? Sure.. But this is a interesting player.

My only worry is the Special Teams coach got to pick a guy because I do get some Pat Watkins vibes. A special teams ace type.. I hope that’s not the case.

But in a cover 3 zone? Can’t wait to watch it play out.

ok I watched this, and you should have said he was # 2 in white !! lol so we know who to look for.
He is ok in coverage, they never threw his way except one time lol.
as far as runs or the other plays, he makes no contact, always late to ball, and seems like he is not eager to actually make a tackle or even contact.

Plays way off his guy. Not exactly impressive.
But this is a poor game to see how he covers.

Apparently it’s a Quinn pick. He said they talked and meshed well
I think maybe quinn is making all the def picks, or he is influencing picks big time.

If this was a guy who would have fell to 6th, he lucked out being drafted this high, pay wise.
So no problem with the guy, just why use a 3 on him lol.

And jones boys are picking volume not quality.
They havent moved up for anyone.
I guess they wanted osa over barmore lol :omg::laugh:
And osa is ok, but I think most of us wanted a DT more like Barmore?

They apparently had no interest in the tcu safety.

Oh well I expect more of the same with the rest of the picks :p

I swear we coulda got this cat in the 5th, or 6th and we would still be thinking" Man we coulda had so and so " SMFH this staff
Some had a 4th round grade on him so it’s not a certain that he could have been had late. And the teams know a ton more than the media does. There’s a reason that the guys that are talking about the draft are talking about the draft and not actually drafting.

I’m not defending the pick. But for “analysts” to have said they’ve never heard of a guy that was a Power 5 starter shows they don’t put half the time in that the actual scouts do.

Agree.

Other than Parsons this feels like the special teams draft. Maybe worse.

2nd Rd is a complete head case. Does he all of a sudden pull it together? Doubtful.

This organization passed up so many quality players today for virtual unknowns.

I swear Mccarthy is sabotaging the team from within on assignment from Goodell.
McCarthy doesn't have to sabotage this team. Jerry can do that all by himself!

Another "Street Ball' player with swagger. East Bay (Oaktown) area born and breed. Went the Jr. College route to college and the NFL.

Chris Westry was actually a better athlete than Wright. But both are similar in play with Wright have a better nose for the ball.
When your third round pick draws comparisons to Chris Westry it is not good.

I respect your view but really I did a quick search of draft sites and 3 of 4 had this dude as a 6 rd - udfa. C'mon . This is another example of this team trying to be cute and as if they know something the other teams dont.

This pick is disappointing and I hope like heck Im wrong about him. Others seem to agree. We are picking up projects and wishfully thinking. IN round 3!!!

There were much better and safer picks than this kid.

Fans aren’t waiting for him to die...they are wanting him to die.
Then they are even more pathetic...I love football but it’s not serious enough for me to wish death on someone for. That’s when it’s time to step away from a pass time and reevaluate life.

That was the worst reach and pick in the Draft of all teams so far.

Guy would have been available in the 6th or 7th

Seems like a day three project. Maybe they kick him to safety.

Would much rather have taken a guy like Cox for depth.
I’d rather had probably 10-15 guys that were still there
There was probably a deep snapper rated higher from some small school in alaska
