Very good pick could be a diamond in the rough, ranked 131st ovreall

Overview
Rangy cornerback with unique combination of size and length that could allow him to play outside or over matchup tight ends. He has the strength and tools in press-man, but leggy transitions and modest recovery burst diminish his margin for error against the release. His wingspan makes him a human skyscraper who can hassle the passing lane in Cover 2 and fluster deep ball attempts in Cover 3. The instincts are average, making him less likely to jump a route than simply play what he sees. He's a capable tackler, but needs to amp up the aggression in run support whether teams view him as a cornerback or safety at the next level. Mukuamu has the potential to develop into a starter.
Strengths
  • Height, weight and length are rare commodities at his position.
  • Imposing frame makes early release difficult.
  • Jab and lateral shuffle create roadblock from press.
  • Long arms shade downfield throws from trail position.
  • Quick plant and drive back to receiver from Cover 3 shuffle.
  • Squeezes on top of dig routes from free safety.
  • Physical traits make 50-50 balls a losing proposition for opponent.
  • Soft hands and above-average ball skills for takeaways.
  • Fairly reliable as a targeted tackler in run game.
  • Centers and wraps ball-carrier when uncovered.

Our day 3 seems as good or better than our day 2. Be fun to see how these guys shape up.

trust me many CB on this roster are candidates for FREE Safety converts.

We have the SS and LB positions locked down starting corners all but locked down so depth corner and converted FS is the only shot for alot of these guys and bye bye 23 i dont see spot for you

lots of cuts at DB will come best will have won spots..

Maybe we'll move Jourdan Lewis to FS, since Quinn seems to prefer taller corners but doesn't mind shorter safeties. Of course, I think he also doesn't mind shorter corners in the slot.

If the team actually builds a defense comparable to Seattle's hey day defenses this fan base will be re-energized. Screw the "total yards stats can't win a game offense", gimme a real defense dang it!

We haven’t even seen McClays pet cat from last year play Robinson

To go with 3 cbs today, I’d say they didn’t like what they saw and we may never see him. If they had plans for him to be on the field then I’d say 2 cbs was plenty. Maybe one is viewed as a safety.

it will get worked out but dont get it twisted im betting Joseph pushes for starting spot so brown or Lewis will be the third and other will be depth or possible safety convert..

we got those two later DBS long, weight, height, and rangy enough to be safetys.

I like all the depth at lb AND DB really all over the defense that will create tons of competition and the best will be left standing..look at all the names at S , CB, LB , and dl..more depth then ive seen in while while most of the base package starters are obvious the rest is left to win out by many bodies with potential..FA and the draft shook ton of players on defense all over the field..

this offseason quinn will have OTAs, MC, and TC and 3 PS games far different then last year , nolan didnt have MUCH OF SHOT TO GET THIS MANUY LF HIS LAYERS COMPETE IN THE OFFSEASON..

REAL LIVE COMPETION WILL GO A LONG WAY FOR THE DEPTH CHART

Huge ball hawk CB

Can’t say the Cowboys haven’t zeroed in on what they are looking for at CB and done everything they can to find them.

Did someone say “Cowboys should focus on defense”?
didnt count but what 7 defenders and 3 offense we tock a wr, G, and tackle on offense. Rest all defense and all seem specific scheme fit guys especially top 2 Parsons and Joseph have real speed and some nastiness to their game..

I do feel with us taking three corners, we're looking at one of our corners, maybe even more, competing at or backing up safety.

I'm fine with this pick but we really need to stop leaving the safety position to late round picks.

he is a bit stiff at the hips, so he can't play CB in the NFL, the WR will eat his lunch, but he has length and is smart (per draft analysis), so perhaps a move to saftey, helping to keep things in front of him, as the 3rd or 4th saftey in the game....has the speed to cover a lot of area. not going to be a starter in this league. strictly backup material, but nothing wrong with that if you can get him on the field for a few plays where you need a 3rd or 4th saftey in the game...his ticket is going to be special teams.

He played some deep safety last year
I think he’s a safety who could come down and play a TE
Not great speed but most TE aren’t 4.3 guys
Willing tackler and the size to matchup on a TE

We certainly drafted some guys who would make for a good pickup basketball team. Hope they can actually play football at the NFL level.
