So Elliot is in the building !!
None of this matters, I want to see what they look like in PS.
Dak is going to be mentally handicapped a little, hope he isnt overweight, He should have tried to lose a little weight.
We wont know on him till he plays in PS or real game.
I think he will be ok, he is a all in type guy.

going to be nothing but same old talk till PS gets here.
They all look good, all are ready etc etc.

Please,, man got some nice get away sticks.
He has put in his work this off season, cant photo shop that.

Man seems to work his butt off. You have to give him that.

Still somehow...... but maybe thats only a perspectivic thing.

This will be the biggest hurdle.

It's more then just physical.

Dak won't get over that until he takes his first big hit there and comes out of it fine. Remember the first couple games of 2014 when Romo wasn't really cutting it loose coming off his back surgery. Once he let it rip and felt fine he was back to normal.

I actually enjoyed this stream-of-thought post.

I get your concerns.
Dak looks to be in about as perfect shape as a person can get from vids and pics.
So there's that at least.

Says the scared man with a straight face. has to be. That's not negative just an observation.
No need for this comment. Whether referring this comment towards Dak or any other player returning from injury, it's natural to be cautious or a little scared because one does not know how their body is going to react after coming back from injury. But to say that whomever player has to be a scared man with a straight face is totally unnecessary to say, especially if you're a Cowboys fan. I would expect this from an opponent's fan, not from our own Cowboys fans.

There has been many an NFL player to undergo a serious injury, just as Dak has had. It's perfectly normal for them not to know what to expect until they've been back in action long enough to trust the durability of their injured part. Dak's been doing all he can to ensure his injured ankle being one that should hold up to whatever stress it might have to withstand. It's normal to have a healthy degree of fear before knowing what to expect. Dak is just a man, certainly not Superman, or anything of the sort. He shows no level of excessive fear.

Fear is a very positive impulse that helps to prevent a situation from overcoming anyone involved in an inherently dangerous situation. He'll eventually be taking hits that will test his ankle's durability. Hopefully, he'll come away from those threats in a relieved and relatively confident state of mind. I think he's more than resilient enough to hold up to such pressure, in the meantime. There are, certainly, no obvious indications to assume otherwise. QBs are exposed to danger on an ongoing basis. Dak has displayed an ability to deal with it. I think that will continue.

Maybe it is not so much fear as confidence. Once he sees real time action and his ankle holds up well he will be 100% monster again.

He’s listed at 235 but yesterday was reported to have lost at least 15lbs.

I think Dak's broken ankle will be fine and that his confidence will return as he gets rolling.

I am however concerned about his other leg. Many players (people in general), after a serious injury, can easily injure their other leg due to the time dealt with the injury/healing/rehab on the injured leg. The body tends to over compensate for the injury and gets things out of wack, which can result in hamstring/groin/knee issues on the non-injured leg once activities return to normal.

I agree. That's what I intended to impart, despite the use of different wording. I think the fear of failure motivates affirmative action. A healthy fear of failure is positive when used as motivation to overcome an injury. The return to good health, in turn, builds confidence. It's mostly a matter of semantics. ;)

Cooper literally never practices lol. He’s still effective, but man. Would it hurt him to get out there like once a week or so?

The foot injury he's struggled with gets worse the more he's on it which is why he takes it easy in practice.
