Early reports from what I've heard from local reports...

Vander Each his playing fast and downhill and looks great.

Parsons looks a bit lost at times but extremely fast and athletic and coming along well.

Jaylon looks the same and will be gone in the spring.

Cox needs to catch up fast because Neal looks terrible in coverage and is getting beat by everyone.

The reporters just need to report.
And not speculate what player will be gone next year.
TC just started and the season is a ways off yet.
What local report said this?

Nothing about Gifford, Bernard, Hines or Kamara?
Last I heard Bernard tweaked a hammy day one.

Heard LVE been going sideline to sideline on plays. That is something Jaylon needs to get back too. But can he. Does he look any faster than the way he finished last season? This is the type of stuff they need to report. Not be concerned about 9 months from now.

I agree @jazzcat22.

Unfortunately I don’t think it has anything to do with speed with Jaylon, although I don’t really know that he still has it or not. What is confirmed via tape is.. he has minimum power. No power at the point of contact.. he can’t shed blocks, he’s not going to knock an opponent backwards, and he guesses when making pre AND post snap reads. “Just go watch the tape”-Smith.
Bottomline he’s a detriment on defense and should be cut. Yet, he’s guaranteed salary ensures our suffering for atleast one more season.

So the converted S can't cover as well as LBs. We've got a tiny run-only LB. Great.

Not surprised at the reports on Vander Esch or Jaylon. No known reason LVE can't be as good as 2018. There *is* a known reason Jaylon can't - the leg regressed.

Still befuddling how they guaranteed so much to Jaylon in March.
Clown Team.

I heard Nick Eatman say something the effect that he wonders if Parsons will be a guy that QB's will have to purposely locate on every down because he lines up all over the place and is so fast and disruptive. Hearing that he is getting used in so many ways one can understand why he may seem lost on some plays this early into his first camp. But it also makes me very excited about what he may become for us.

I haven’t been over a player more than I am with Jaylon. I truely can’t remember a Cowboys player I dislike more than him. It’s sad bc he didn’t beat up his girlfriend, or steal jewelry, or smoke weed.. I just have a distain for an underachieving player than has a delusional self worth to the point it’s disgusting and quite frankly..immature. I don’t care that his salary outperforms his performance(sorta). What erks me the most is his smug attitude that cultivates his character and seems to percolate through his “clear eye view” image of himself.

It's the celebrations after meaningless plays that gets me.

far far to early for assessments with mostly all in shorts shell combos..lets see them in real live tackling against other teams..

Should Jerry get the blame for creating this ego? At the very least his smug attitude got a boost when Jerry thought it was a wise move to break the bank on him.

For the Vander Esch sucks crowd you don’t get to jump back on the band wagon when he proves to be our best defender again.
Parsons will out play him this season. I honestly want both of them to do well. Pay LVE and get Jaylon off of this team. His attitude disgusts me. "Go watch the tape" "Jordan and Lebron got criticized too" This guy is a CANCER on this team. Just my opinion.

LVE and Jaylon are starters. they are working with the 1's.

Parsons has been working with the 2's.
I think by season mid season, Parsons will be starting. he is a rookie who lost a year of football, it will take little time for him to learn the NFL but his athleticism is going to get him on the field.

Hes starting week 1. Jerry didnt just spend that pick to draft someone who isnt starting.
you are probably right...but jerry has a soft spot for Jaylon, knowing what he was still went ahead and gave him a large contract. he does business with him as well. if left to football people, Jaylon would be on the bench. the best trio at this point are LVE, Parsons, Neal

- Take it for what it's worth, just as Jeff Cavanaugh had reported that Neal was getting beaten by TEs in coverage, Broaddus also reported that Neal's last camp practice, he was finally
getting his hands on some passes and finishing... Could be an indication that he's still quite in a learning curve in his conversion to LB.
It could be a different way of coverage technique, drop depth per the LB position, It's obviously gonna take some time to adjust, and not just a plug and play right away.

- Cox could be the type that he could be lost or a step behind right now, but as the season goes on, he gradually catches up to the speed and complications of the NFL game.

- Parsons is gonna have his speed bumps moments, i 'm expecting that, and they are already throwing a lot at him for a rookie.
But that clearly tells me the LB action will go thru him.
I just wanna see a strong support cast around him as he learns and grows,.. can we keep him clean and blockers off of him ?
If he becomes adept in coverage, i wouldn't be surprised if Parsons is eventually moved outside.

- I wanna see and measure LVE when the games begin, and the pounding and toll commences in regular season.
While i would love to see him in drops in the passing lanes, i think the move outside will remedy the wear n tear on his body.
