I was so glad Jaylon was not out there all night. He did have his classic run play where he got a tackle 8 yards down the field. Sitting right in the middle of the field, saw the handoff and did not move forward - just stayed 8 yards back and made the play rather than filling the hole!
I noticed that one too. Sat there waiting for the ball carrier. Ridiculous.

Both should be seeing less and less time as the year goes. Also Brown needs to have his snaps reduced too. He was worthless.

Im fine with them getting 20% of the snaps as it gives Parsons/Neal a breather or two throughout the game. The 15 or less snaps is not going to hurt the team much at all, especially if the coaches guess right and these are mostly running downs.

For the record......Parson led all defensive players with 51snaps followed by Neal with 50, DLaw 43, Gregory 37, Odighizuwa 36

Lol I was literally about to post about this last night, but couldn't find the snap counts. I love that Quinn isn't going status quo.

I do wonder though was that strictly matchup based. Because if they are going to stay in the nickel all game long it seems like LVE and Jaylon won't be getting snaps. They seem to play them together and play Neal and Parsons together.

I'm sure that was a big part of it but we will play a lot of nickel so although I see Jaylon and LVE getting more run, it's gonna be Parsons and Neal on the field plenty.

Tbh, I thought Jaylon did pretty well in limited opportunities last night.

I thought so to which is why I'm kind of confused people are going at him over one play. We may get the most out of him giving him limited snaps....

...not to throw more fuel on fire. But its huge difference when 11 is on the field. Jaylon as much I like the guy. He's a peg hoping around out there. LVE can still hold is own, but he's slow or the other LB's are super fast.
LVE with 2 tackles.....hold his own to what?

It's weird, I noticed Jaylon out there a lot, maybe I just subconsciously saw his hair and new to worry a bit. He wasn't terrible I'll give him that but he did fall behind a couple TEs he was covering
