What was in Tom Brady's ear?

I have no idea what that is but I would like to know. The league should want to know too. We should not just overlook it because it is Tom Brady. We don't need a public investigation but someone from the league office should make the trip to Tampa to ask Brady. If it's nothing then that's the end of it.

I know a lot of pitchers in baseball, as they got older, resorted to bending the rules to extend their careers. Scuffing the ball or slipping some kind of liquid on it was not unheard of, even by some pitchers in the hall of fame.

If we're talking about real cheating to win games then I'd agree. But if we're talking about a few PSI short in a football, to call it cheating is ridiculous. If you've played football and you know you're the better team, you couldn't care one iota what the opposing team does with their football. Not even a little bit. As players it would be embarrassing to even bring it up.
Let's say a DE comes around the corner and hits him in the arm. With regulation psi in the football he fumbles and loses the game, with lower psi he doesn't fumble and wins the game. Still cheating.

hey I agree it’s trivial in the overall scheme of a game but if it’s an official rule he knowingly broke to gain a competitive advantage….it taints their games and thus that championship. Either the NFL is serious about enforcing its rules and game integrity or they aren’t. And based on how much they like to suspend our players, they act like they are.

It might be cheating to your armchair drunk watching the game, but if you're playing a game and get blown out, bringing up the PSI in a football as part of the reason will get you laughed off the field.

A friend of mine is close to the situation.

What it actually is, is a Tony Robbins inspirational audiobook reminding Brady that he's still the prettiest GD man on the field.

That's the thing, it's not gaining a competitive advantage. A 2 PSI variant is not changing the outcome of any game ever played previously, or in the future. It's utter nonsense. He was probably more comfortable with the ball that way. Just like when all QBs scuff the new balls before using them. Not every rule is to prevent a competitive advantage. There are uniform rules, visor rules, and so on. Go to any sporting goods store and buy a basketball, football, volleyball, any ball with air, there's going to be a recommended PSI for optimum use. No different than the tires on your car.
