I had no idea that was a thing. I thought I was being absurd.

Nah I hear ya. Really don’t see much advertising for the show. I’ve never actually watched it myself. Just seen recaps and/or highlights posted to Twitter before.

Here are the announcement possibilities:
  • HBO will be cancelling “Hard Knocks” (not likely)
  • The Dallas Cowboys will become the permanent team for HK in all future seasons.
  • Jerry Jones will appear as a player/coach/GM next season for the Cowboys during training camp. He will sell tickets for fans to get their photo made with him in full gear.
  • HBO will doing a “Hard Knocks, Midseason” version, featuring of course the Cowboys, with Jerry as the narrator.

Honestly I wouldn’t watch hard knocks if I wasn’t a fan of the team.

it’s not bad. But at the same time there’s far better shows out there to stream if I want
It must be for the extreme die hards….I voiding imagine watching it. Well made show just not for me unless my team is on it.

I actually thought they’d cancel it this year but would they announce that?

Yeah. HBO’s production team is great. They really are. Some of the best shows period on television. I just think there’s only so much I can watch ya know.

Hard knocks may be more enjoyable even for the casuals. Let’s face it. Anybody posting on this board as much as we have. We are the die hards. We already know a lot about the team and players.

perhaps people who just casually watch football. Might be more intrigued learning about some of these players. Or thinking a guy like Dinucci even has a chance lol

I think I’d be more interested if it lasted into the season….it basically highlights the most boring part of the season…..preseason.

My guess is more teams next year. It can just as easily be a 10+ episode, 4 team show flipping from team to team throughout the episode a la deadliest catch. “next season: AFC East”.

Would greatly increase the interest in the show and reduce the chance of “boring” seasons

That’s a solid idea actually.

I never saw the point of doing just for camp and preseason

Do it for a full season. Then it would actually be dramatic

Maybe they will announce they will follow teams throughout the playoffs into the SB.
As teams are eliminated they focus on the remaining teams.
