If Taylor Heinicke struggles you have to think Rivera will give Cam a look. However his vaccination status could keep them away regardless how desperate they get at QB.

The WFT defense should do enough to beat the NYG tmrw…. Don’t think they need to sweat QB until they start playing more dynamic offenses that can hang some points on their D

Heineken should be able to do enough to keep them in most games

I feel like Heinecke is probably a better fit than Fitz. I never understood why they liked Fitz so much or why anyone did. It's the same everywhere. A couple of good games, followed by twice as many average or worse games.

Cam is washed, maybe if Fitz + Heinecke end up on IR.

Rivera is said to like Kyle Allen. So I think he stands pat with what they have in-house...for now.

He liked him which is why he traded for him last year but not sure he likes him as much now after watching him go 1-3 last season. This is why he’s going with Taylor Heinicke.

I'm not sure......few of things to keep mind, 1). Rivera could have easily signed Cam as a free agent over Fitz. 2). Read a tweet that there were issues between Cam and a few former Panthers assist coaches ( some now part of WFT ). 3). You don't sign Fitz as your starting QB inspired to be a playoff team, especially passing up several chances of a better upgrade ( draft or free agent ).

Bottom line and this is just my take, WFT ( similar to the Eagles) passed on several options to upgrade the QB position, apparently rolling the dice for either a top draft position or a top available free agent.

BTW....some are speculating we may see the last of Cam. Not enough talent left to justify the drama of his presence/persona ........similar to Dez.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Rivera may have no choice but to take a look at Cam if Fitzpatrick is out for an extended period and Heinicke and Kyle Allen can’t get it done. Cam appears to be pretty washed up and his vaccination status isn’t helping his cause any. He only won 7 games under Belichick so it’s possible we’ve seen the last of him.

Doug Williams looked washed up back in the day and Washington signed him and ended up winning a Super Bowl with him. Washington has a history of winning Super Bowl’s with average QBs or QBs that appear to have lost it. Anytime you have a defense it gives you a chance if you can get respectable play from the QB position.

No, WFT is trading for Aaron Rodgers after he throws a couple more games for the Packers.
