Lol let's not get carried away here...
People here, myself included, who made an opinion that Martin should play at RT and that Steele would suck it up may of been proven wrong, but if you are saying we are supposed to feel silly for not being able to see the future is a silly statement in itself.
I will say I am glad to say I am wrong at this point. Hope Steele can keep holding the line for the sake of our offense.
Were you ripping the coaching staff to shreds? If not, my post wasn’t meant for you.

It always made sense to see what Steele can do before re-shuffling the OL by moving Martin. If Steele struggled early, pull the plug.

I think the coaches really like Steele. I think letting him focus on one position should settle him down.

Good job today.

Everyone here who was ripping the coaching staff to shreds for not immediately inserting Zack Martin at RT should feel pretty silly right now.
The local media was saying the same things. I am starting to question Broaddus. He said in camp Steele looked the same and had not improved. You can see when he was walking out on the field he looks like different player. Good game all around for the offensive line.

My question is why is it THAT hard to trust the guys whose jobs / livelihoods are on the line that are making that call?

Now that isn't to say I wonder why Brown is in there instead of Canady or Wright, but I'm going to assume the coaches are seeing something in practice that makes them feel Brown is the better option.

Hopefully Steele can keep it up while Collins is out, and hopefully Wright or Joesph can take over the starting spot for Brown ASAP.

But at no point do I feel like I have better insight over the players than the guys who are being paid to make those calls ....

Unless the coach is named Garrett.

The coaches saw his potential last year. He made rookie mistakes but he kept getting better. Arm chair GMs would have cut him. Once again the coaches were the better talent evaluators.

But, The coach’s decision on Anthony Brown makes me scratch my head. Could Wright or Joseph be worse?

Great job by Steele...whoop azz in the run game, and neutralized Bosa... hat's off man.

I agree with you, but this is a fan forum. We are encouraged to give an insight, to disagree and basically have varying opinions on how this team is run.
We are not required to always make sense and some of us take a chance and go out on a limb with our opinions, but that is what makes these forums worth coming back to.

If we all just agreed with each and with the coaching staff all the time, I am sorry but majority of us would be bored and this forum would be a ghost town. We don't have any real power so it means absolutely nothing if someone says something wrong.

I don't think Bosa did much of anything except for a couple of run stops. Steele definitely stood tall today.

I have no issues with the questioning of decisions or opposing viewpoints.

I just dislike the the doom-and-gloom posting when something isn't ideal that I believe is absolutely foolish and wouldn't mind it going somewhere else.

I can handle "why don't we move Martin to RT instead of Steele". I hate seeing "Not moving Martin to RT shows the coaching staff just does not get it".

One is trying to figure out why a decision is being made. The other is a loser / I'm smarter than everyone else mentality.

And I don't care if Bosa dominated this game and those that predicted doom and gloom were right. The fact that so many determined this game was an automatic L before it was even played is pathetic.

Don't know if you were one of the doom-and-gloomers, but if you were, sorry, not sorry.
