There is plenty of evidence he isn't an every down back, he doesn't pick up the right block in pass protection, and when he does he is little more than a speed bump, ask your self when was the last time you said good block Pollard. How often do he run up the middle and get the difficult yards, without trickery or Elliot being used as the decoy? He is a role player, that is playing the hell out of his role, let's just be happy with that.

Is this what you are reduced to? Blocking? I guess it is because it seems always the goto for Zeke apologists.

Yes I have seen Pollard pick up some nice blocks.

What we are talking about is load, which means carries. There is no evidence that Pollard cant handle lots of carries.

That being Pollard continues to show his worth the more carries he gets. Not a big fan of featuring one back. Unless you have a McCaffrey which we dont.

Better at what? Clearly the offense and running game is more potent with Pollard getting half the caries.
Better at everything that a running back has to do Talk to me when Parsons has back to back rushing titles

Cmon buddy................dont fall on the sword.

Whether you like to admit it or not we have a great #2 back. One that screams of getting more action. Obviously Moore sees it.

You have to understand the transition of the offense. Pollard is a perfect compliment to our new strength. Zeke did great today and did great last game. I like the new Zeke. But to deny what we are seeing from Pollard is disrespectful. He is a Cowboy after all.

Be thankful that we have a coordinator that sees this and adjusts accordingly.

Sorry, I did. :lmao2:

The Cowboys have something special this year I think. Even with all the bad luck the coordinator are really impressing me. As much as MM tries to blow it, this team has something.

Zeke was great today and is the more talented RB without question.

Pollard is a nice 2nd back but he gets stopped right in his tracks on 1st contact.

2 different level of backs and Zeke is on the higher level.

Sorry, that kind of blind comment doesnt fly anymore. Anyone that watched the game today saw Pollard as the more skilled back.

There will be other games to play, but this isnt the game to diss Pollard.

To me the team looks better coached and way less disorganized on defense especially We need all of our Olinemen on the field all at once but looks like we found a nice backup or 2

Its a RB by committee now. Hot man gets the ride!!

In this offense, Pollard is king!!!

Sadly, I took Zeke #5 in my fantasy draft. 70 yards and a TD will be fine.

Blind comment. Lol!

Didn't diss Pollard. He gets hit he doesn't go forward. Not an every down or game to game RB. Zeke is.

Zeke played very well today and it was in clear sight.

I see a Pollard that breaks lots of tackles. Are you saying Zeke breaks tackles? I must have missed those.

Zeke did play well. Pollard just played better. He was key to our win. He gave us the big play element to our run game. Without that, teams will continue to play a 2 deep zone and dare us to run.

Reduced to? It is hard to make this point without sounding negative especially because I'm a big Pollard fan, I love what he brings to the table. I'm also aware is success is a byproduct of Zeke's presence, and the schemes that take advantage of that fact, look at his plays, seldom does he get a direct handoff, he is usually coming off of some sort movement getting the ball in the backfield with a head of steam that is a big advantage, he usually running to the right side, which is where the running advantage is, my point is his role is a change of pace back, he is successful because that's his role. Why would you try and change that

Change what?

Why would anyone care when and how he gets his yards? This change of pace nonsense has to stop.

Pollard is a legitimate RB weapon. Obviously you call plays to his strength. He bounces it outside because he can.

Pollard isnt successful because of Zeke. That is nonsense. Pollard can hit it up inside or out, whatever the play requires. Zeke on the other hand is typically limited to inside so that is what he does.

We saw a few plays where Zeke tried to go outside and it wasnt pretty. Thats not his strength.

Pollard got 3rd and 1 carries, goal line, he did it all.

Pollard played very well today. Was an asset out there today.

When he is out there they didn't game plan for him to run but to catch. Great, that's the purpose and that's where he is best suited. Next week they will notice and the RB would be nice to see 2 out there more often with Shultz out there and the Wideouts.

Better disguised formation.

All our lost starters on defense and we still came out winning scoring 20 is a showcase of winning short yardage football and doing what you have to do with the clock.

We are built on offense both ways and are clearly looking for our defensive identity. I like what I saw in Parson and LVE and Diggs.

Diggs is high reward high risk with the coverage scheme, but he isn't really getting beat. He's where he should be.

This is a defensive personnel shift. I think this injury thing is a way to diplomatically impose it. 3-4 and Parsons got through after a while but had that closing speed Herbert didn't understand to get that sack call.

They're literally labbing on defense in real games.

The overreaction on this board to a player having a good game is priceless.

Steele should replace Collins permanently. Pollard should replace Zeke. Parsons should replace Lawrence. I think some even want Wilson ahead of Gallup. And maybe Kearse ahead of the other Wilson.

I'm OK with them just playing the roles they've been given. If a 1-2 punch of Elliott and Pollard makes our running game more effective, that's a good thing.
Pollard has better numbers than Zeke going on 2+ years now. The average fan just can’t see past total yards. Zeke has more total yards because he gets more carries. Pollard has a higher yards per touch and a much higher broken tackle percentage than Zeke since 2019.

These are the same fans that talked about how good Jaylon was because he led the team in tackles. They’re a little slow to catch on.

So Pollard did well because they werent expecting him to run?

Cmon, thats nonsense.
