Problem with the run game is it isnt always dependable. Neither is the defense.

Maybe the fact that Moore has finally figured out that Moore pollard and less Zeke is better for the run game.

I think the OC understands that quite well. Against the Bucs, they stacked the box and took away the run. Against the Chargers they played 2 deep safety which opened the running game.

I dont think its as much as trying to establish the run it is ACTUALLY establishing it. Plenty of times in the last 3 years where the RG simply wasnt working or effective. Or the defense couldnt hold the opposition and we become one dimensional by situation.

I also think the emergence of Pollard in the run game gives us that big play element that we lacked. Before we had a plodding run game. Now with Pollard its a big play run game as well. Can score from anywhere on the field. Make them pay for playing two deep zone.

This team has a history of abandoning the run when they get down a couple scores, definitely during the Carrot era, and probably most of those times lost those games.
