From day one since Dak became the starter he started exhibiting what has always, and will always, make him an elite player at any level.

* He’s a competitor along the lines of Jordan, the Black Mamba and Duncan.
* He’s always trying to get better. Not just from year to year but from game to game.
* He’s one tough son of a ***** trying to straighten his ankle from 45 degrees back to normal so he could get back in the game. Never missed a game until that injury that would have put many QB’s back 2 years.
* He fights on every play and never gives up.
* He cares about his teammates so much that when he was injured their response was nothing like I had ever seen since watching the NFL since the 60’s.
* His size, strength, intelligence are gifts most QB’s don’t have.
* He’s humble never putting himself above the team. The haters will say, “yeah, what about the 40 mill per year” but that’s just bull****. The only time 40 mill would hurt would be the first 2 years. Dak’s salary cap hit the first 2 years is nowhere near that and the remaining years the salary cap is skyrocketing.
* He doesn’t ignore coaching, he embraces it. Just another example of how setting that example rubs off on the other players. @Ranching I’m sure can attest to that.

I could go on and on. I’ve heard the naysayers repeatedly say “show me his leadership”. Which is an indictment of their ignorance about leadership. Leadership can manifest in so many ways. For Dak, his leadership is a cumulative of the things I posted above and other points I left out. His teammates see all of this. They see that and think, damn so this is how an NFL player is supposed to be. I better do my part. If Dak has gone through all this and is giving 100% every practice, every day, every week, every year then that’s what I have to do. They see how he gives his all for not only the team but to THEM. The Cowboys players are all in on Dak and will run through brick walls for that SOB. THAT’S LEADERSHIP.

This is a garbage thread. Its about the team not about Dak. Clearly this team was going NOWHERE when all we had was Dak and the passing game. We were scoring 40 points a game and still losing most of the games.

Dak has always been a great leader and a great QB. Its the fact that we finally added coaching, running game, defense that has made this team a true contender.

This will make haters very happy that it’s no longer Jerry’s team! They thought this day would never come.

Agree this is Dak's team. He's earned it.

So sick of the word "hater" though. I doubt there's a single cowboys fan out there that hates Dak or doesn't want him to succeed.

Disagreeing with the contract =/= hate.

You realize “hater” was referencing Jerry haters, right?

I agree contract disagreement does not equal hater. A hater is someone like pappy who never posts ANYTHING other than his dislike of Dak. Every thread, every post, every day. There are only a handful of true haters but they’re out there. @WillieBeamen use to be one but he was man enough and had the stones to admit he was wrong. Big time kudos to him. None of the others have.

You can be real unpleasant 80% of the time.

I am going for 90%.

The team is doing great and Dak is looking great, so how about just shutting up and enjoying it? There was no cause for a thread like this.

Its threads like this that make Dak fans look bad. Overboard.

The most annoying thing about when the Cowboys are doing great is the homer nonsense. This qualifies.

I actually think what is so special about this years squad is it really isn't any one persons team. Every unit is contributing, and no one seem worried about getting theirs. I'm seeing a team with a ton of humility with this group.

You’re a contrarian who speaks out of both sides of your mouth. It’s distasteful.

Dak is awesome and glad he is a Cowboy, but let’s don’t get crazy and compare with MJ.
I’m comparing his competitiveness to that of Jordan’s. That’s one of the the things that made him so much better than Lebrun. Jordan refused to lose. That’s Dak’s exact mentality.

If it’s a garbage thread then quit contributing Nancy.

Not taking anything from Dak, but Jordan’s competitiveness is on a whole different level.
