Dak was better last year so far, just the team playing as a whole is playing much better. Dak isn't played bad by any means. He's not getting hit with the ton of drops and the defense is giving him some turnovers. I think we seen it last year, where he is top 5 qb, good enough to win, but the team has to help him as well.

Yes.. every QB needs good teammates to help him win. The whole "so and so single handedly carried his team.." is the territory of mediots and softheaded fans. Never buy into that stupid narrative about Dak or any other player. Every guy who has ever put on pads has needed other good players to be successful.

Yes, you are right. My point is that he appears to be playing better because his whole team is playing better.

Not at all. In reality. He's in his physical prime with 6 years of experience. This is as good as it gets.

I'm not asking you. I'm telling you.
He's developing every season, just stop with the self righteous pizza cutter comments. If he's improving, he's not at his ceiling. Stop echoing the same misused phrases.
Next you'll say "he can't throw WRs open."

I'm not even sure it's "appears." Dak is playing the best ball of his life this year and there is no question that having a kickarse running game and a defense that is no longer giving up 30 ppg is helping. Both factors are allowing him to play within himself, not feel like he has to force things or try to do too much. He just needs to be the point guard and distribute the ball whether it be delivering strikes to his receivers or by audibling from a running play into the teeth of the defense into a pass play or even a better running play that attacks the defense's weak side. Dak is straight up ballin and I am enjoying the hell out of it! One because we are winning but also because I always thought he could.. and yeah.. it makes me laugh at all the ABDs who won't let go of their horrible misevaluation on the kid! Dak is making them all look stupid.. and it's glorious!

He's at his physical prime. You don't develop physically approaching 30 simply because you're a fan boy Cowboys fan and he's the QB. He will not be physically at his peak much longer. That is a fact.

I know you want to pretend he'll be better in the future. He won't.

Fixed it for you Art! Good stuff. Dak has a shot at being in the same company as Staubach and Aikman. Hasn’t done it yet, but I wouldn’t bet against this guy.
Where do you rank him In the Cowboys qb ladder?

I cannot place Dak above Danny White and Dandy Don at this point in his career because those guys did win some playoff games. However I think at this point he has passed Romo and everybody else that played the position for us. He's got to win some playoff games before he can climb up about Meredith and White and it will take at least two Super Bowls to enter the Aikman/Staubach stratosphere. Even one won't do it.

this is it, this is his best offensive line and running backs and defense. It's all downhill from now on. no other QB in the league has what he has.

This guy thinks you reach your prime in your 30’s.

Cause Go Cowboys and stuff.
When you have no legitimate argument, put words in people's mouth and make things up.
But hey, at least you're edgy.

I have a legitimate argument. Athletes don't reach their prime in their 30’s.

You dont have a legitimate argument. You're just like LOL Go Cowboys.

We all had concerns about Dak post ankle injury, but he has been on fire this season from the opening game to the present. It’s clear that we don’t have any idea what Dak’s ceiling is. He continues to improve his accuracy, his QBR, and is a superb leader. I’m so excited to see how great Dak can become. He has improved every season and I’m excited to see how high he can fly!

The one thing I am fairly certain about now, and I wasn't too sure about before, is that Dak is not and never was the problem. Give him the supporting cast and you can see how he plays.

Look at the Chiefs right now. Mahomes is being asked to do too much to make up for that garbage defense. In doing so he is making critical mistakes. But lets be realistic. Dak has a really good supporting cast.

Right

We’ve already wasted 5 years without a better team around him mainly on defense. We wasted Romo’s career. There’s still time to waste all of Dak’s career. Jethro can still screw this up.

And when we speak of his ceiling; are we referring to his individual abilities and production or how far our team can go?

Dak has had the supporting cast on offense when most were healthy but not defense until this year.
