Kazee has played 5 decent games and 1 stinker. Why bench him unless you wanted Hooker to be the FS from the beginning?

Kazee took some bad angles, I thought he should've had 2 PBUs at least on the Hunter play and Bourne play.
That is the reasonable take.

Kazee clearly had his worse game as a Cowboy, but before that, he was pretty good. Lets see if the coaching staff can get him back on track before we sacrifice him to the football gods.

On the 75 yd TD it is clear that Diggs was undercutting the route if the ball was shot thinking the safety had coverage over the top. Diggs even looked back to see where the safety was after the catch. If Diggs had not undercut the route as much he may have had another INT. But when I saw that play live, I thought it was the safety's fault all the way. In that situation he had to prevent the TD. He should have been loading up to blow up the receiver if he caught the ball, and if Diggs picked it off the leveling the receiver still would have been his assignment.

I dont see that as the same thing. He's late on that play, which you could ding him on I guess, but that's a good example of how the new rules impact safety play. In the past, Henry would get lit up there and have to hang on, Kazee is pulling up there because you can't do that anymore and he couldn't get to the ball.

On the 4th quarter play hes actually past the receiver when the catch is made. On that play, he failed to judge while the ball was in the air if he could make a play on the ball (he could have), or time it to hit the receiver as the catch was being made, but not before to draw a PI. So he did nothing. Diggs knew where Kazee was and assumed he would make a play. Truly awful.

That’s why he doesn’t need to be in there. Those two plays alone.

Yep. Safeties rotate all the time, to argue they don't and/or shouldn't is poor understanding of coverages and or simple football fundamentals.

Simply put, Kazee was in a position to do SOMETHING and he did NOTHING.

I'm not mad, but I am disappointed.

I just hope the DB coach and/or DQ addresses it during the bye. We can't have a safety out there that is "afraid to make plays".
Kazee has never been known for being a good tackling S, weather its run support or after the catch. He plays S like a guy who was a CB. Gotta take tbe bad with the good with that

I forget who was the "talking head" that pointed it out, but Kazee was one of the starting Safeties for the Falcons last year when they had the worst Passing D in NFL history (was too lazy to confirm).

I don't really care if he plays S more like a CB if he is the deep safety, but like the quote in Major League: "Come on Kazee, get in front of the dang ball! Don't give me this "ole" bullcrap!"
(hopefully I cleaned it up enough)

Hooker is better and should be the starter. Kazee in on some nickel and dime. The 75 yarder was all him. Anyone of the other 3 safteys woulda hit the receiver and dislodged the ball easily.

The 75 yard TD aggravated me. It looked like Diggs was expecting help over the top. The safety has to make that play or the CB can't trust him. But Diggs plays aggressive anyway, so I can't fully be sure.

Dude has one bad play and some want to reevaluate his roster spot lol. FS has been very solid this year, he’s entitled to a mistake or two.

Both DBs on the other side had inside leverage.

The DB covering the receiver that caught the TD was the only one playing outside leverage.

That means that Kazee's top responsibility was to help the DB playing outside leverage.

He definitely looked like he was hurt on this play in the 4th quarter (the Harris "Angry Run" at the 9:11 point in the 4th):

I’m watching the play and thinking it’s a game winning INT as the ball is descending. Flashback to a Commanders game at Texas Stadium. Cowboys dominated for 55 minutes and then Santana Moss rips off 2 TDs for the 14-13 win. The 2nd Moss TD was into 3 defenders, including Roy Williams, and I’m thinking it’ll be a game winning INT.

Kazee appeared to be making business decisions in this game.
