Think the writing is on the wall that Steele is our right tackle starter from here on out. Unless Collins kicks inside, there is no way they carry his salary as a backup. I wonder if he will be attractive on the trade market? Must put better tape this yr or he could even be a release candidate in the off-season.

I'm guessing we could simply release him since we have a boatload of free agents and will need every penny we have.

Today's Collins is a shadow of the Collins that played at a pro-bowl level 2-3 years ago. Great example of a guy who got his big contract and then went into tank.

But he has abs and works out with Dak.

He has to be all pro.

He saves 10 million if they designate him as a June 1st release. That's a big chunk of change!
So if Lawrence doesn’t come out balling he’s another June 1st option. Which would save 19 million. Him and Collins 29 million plus daks restructure saves us 34 million

Hell, was next to Martin......

Collins is an excellent run blocker, just go with power formations and run it, that will setup the pass. Yes bring in a DT as a fullback, bring in two TEs. Also, will have to design some Dak running plays.

Let the OL get some rhythm first is my point.

The little birdie inside my head told me that once Collins came back, all the mojo for this team would be gone. We were managing just fine while this sorry excuse for a football player wasn't playing......

That 2nd contract was a given. Part of him coming here. Stop with the ignorant takes

Let's face it -- Steele isn't adapting to LT any better than Collins is adapting to RT.
Change is in order for the OL. Our OL coach must fix it. Let's wish him well.:omg:

I have been saying for a long time now that Steele is much better than Collins.

So many posters here just want to gift Collins the position no matter how bad he plays. ‘He played so well in 2019.’

The actual game tape > ninja saying Steele is better. Your feelings are irrelevant when the film shows Collins is clearly the better player.

Collins does not care about football. It is sad that we are so desperate that we put him back out there. He needs to be purged. He is a perfect example of sticking with someone who showed flashes during a contract year even though everything they have done since then screams buyer beware.

He was raised in the Garrett entitlement era.

As many as possible of those need to be gone.

Yes, we can create a lot of cap space. Their fate will be determined how they play the rest of the season.
That’s exactly what I believe. Defense is playing so good without , he better bring his A game when comes back, Collins so far isn’t playing much better than Steele at RT and Steele with another offseason might pass him..

The team looked bad. The drops were terrible. 2 TDs dropped and took momentum away. The opening play miss to Gallup was a heart breaker. That would have broke it open early and quick. We play really good with a lead. Even a small lead. The ball seems to bounce our way..
