Yup. I also believe in LT being the one linebacker to forever change the perception of outside linebacker and edge rusher combo.
But getting back to Parsons, my initial reaction to Asthma and yours and I believe ksk's overflowing praise of him I thought at the time, was quite exaggerated.
Because I was familiar with his play at PSU and thought him a good to excellent pro but not what his tape is showing now.

Film don't lie.
He is managing to singlehandedly disrupt offenses as only I had seen LT do before.

As a rookie.

The Cowboys can build around this guy. This defense will be fine.

Honestly just listening to him talk and the things he says besides what he's doing on the field. Every D needs that attitude. How the hell do you pass it up?? I know it's the draft and anything can happen, but this guy is a bonafide stud and generational talent. Lucky for the Cowboys he was still siting there after the trade back.

We lucked into this one! Imagine if we had drafted a CB instead of him??

Amazing rookie so far. Let's hold the anointment oil until he can do this for a few years-- Per Parcells. But damn the kid is exciting to watch.

Yet they still gave Michael Strahan the sack on Favre for the record when Favre gave himself up.
And going back to 1977 (Cowboys Super Bowl XII season), after years and years and many publications giving Harvey Martin 23 sacks in a 14 game season, the NFL took away 3 sacks mysteriously.
