Again, what are you talking about? If they kick the XP the first time, they don’t go for two the second time and the result is the same, a tie game.
The fact that they picked up a yard on a penalty on successful extra point does NOT change the game situation.

They pulled the point off the board for that reason and got stuffed yet again in that case.

Do the math from there.

Huh? I have done the math from there. It’s why they had to go for two late…and they made it, to tie the game. If they had gone with the XP, they would have kicked the XP later to tie it, for the exact same result. What other math is there?

Sometimes things don't work out. I get that.

But I'm done with thinking this team is good enough on the field to overcome the two morons that run the whole thing and ALSO the guy they will let stand on the sidelines.

Games are too close for that.

Then the QB is exposed as well....and everything the people against him have been saying is confirmed as well.

I get the frustration, defense was very undisciplined today and the coaches have a lot to clean up. For Moore and the offense, I feel his playcalling has really turned inconsistent and he continues to show no commitment to the running game. It was good to see some different types of runs mixed in today including a toss and delays but we didn't stick with it.

Also not challenging that fumble in the first half? Like ***? No guarantee that was overturned but 100% worth a challenge. Was a game changing play.

New York ruled it incomplete. McCarthy couldn't challenge it.

If it made sense to go for two there why didnt they initially?

My point is it doesn't change the game situation because you picked up a yard via penalty.

Then end up calling some butt play anyway.

It's dumb followed by dumb.

The defensive penalties were most critical in extending drives so yes defense played a big factor here. Thought I was including them in the penalties.
This defense sucked, with our without penalties. I don't know what's happened to them this week.

You can't understand going for two there after the penalty? It would have made it a 3-point game, which is significantly better than a 4-point game. And the success odds are significantly greater with one yard to go than with two, enough that it absolutely does change the decision process. I have no argument about the play call, but the decision logic made perfect sense.

What are you talking about? That made no difference in the end whatsoever.
That extra point missed changed everything…and only the MM would pass up an extra point to go for it to when an extra point would get us to within 3 …

MM makes situations worse…

Clearly you don’t watch any other NFL teams. Coaches often go for two when they get that penalty.

And you’re wrong, the XP would only get us within 4, it was the two-pointer that would get us within 3. Which is exactly why he did it.

It’s amazing the extent to which people will reach to find things to complain about.

I didn't understand why they went for two when it would have been a 4 point game.

Yea they got the penalty but you can't chase points like that no need to try for 2.

Did you even listen to Romo?

"If you have a play you feel good about, then you need to go for two. They felt good about that alignment. But the linebacker made a great play."

Sometimes the other team makes the play. If they had made that and ended up winning the game, you wouldn't be here scratching your head.

There was five points left on the table. Four of them were left by the kicker Greg Offline.

The Raiders were a touch out. But Dallas could have won that game except for the special teams play. N matter the run back by Pollard, the game was decided by Offline.

Not the coach. Not the QB. Certainly not the back up WR's that need at least one of the two best we have to look like they are special. Coop or Cee Dee.

This is the same scenario as the Bucs game.

The real place to put the blame is the front office for not finding a kicker that is consistent like Greg Offline.

Mike wasn't out there making bad decisions with the ball or throwing bad passes.

And Dak doesn’t making questionable calls from the sideline.

The coaches are responsible for coaching.
The players are responsible for playing.

When one of these elements fails the whole thing crumbles. This is a team and failure in one area is failure in all areas. No one person wins, no one person loses. Winning and losing is a team effort.
