Does Quinn bring more fire then McCarthy?

When the Patriots hired Bill Belichick they were taking another team's trash.

When the Seahawks hired Pete Carroll they were taking another team's trash.

When the Buccaneers hired Bruce Arians they were taking another team's trash.

Its a rather long list of successes, actually. Just like all the young up and coming coaches who flamed out as a head coach.
There's always outliers to everything. For those 3 guys you mentioned there are 100s that didn't work out. I'd prefer we take the Jimmy Johnson route and get a college guy that's proven that can come in and shake things up. Although Jerry is always be a problem for any head coach.

Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, or Tom Brady isn't walking through that door anytime soon regardless.

It's guess work. No guarantees of success or failure. Some "failed" coaches learn something along the way and succeed. Other keep failing.

I'd say the biggest group of failures is young up and coming first time head coaches.

The backup guy always looks better, that is until he settles in and the same crap keeps happening. Look at the Connor bros, the O-Line looks worst today than it did a couple of weeks ago........................But they have less penalties at that position..............ha-haaaaa!

Tom Landry didn't bring the fire. That wasn't his personality. He made sure to have assistant coaches that were fiery.

Uhm...nope. coaches are coaches. How great is Sean Payton right now? He sucks like everyone does with no qb.
He still put up a good fight and had his team competing. If it was Garrett on the other sideline yesterday, this game was over in the first half.

For the Cowboys, I totally agree... Wee need someone who can shut out the Jerry noise. Is MM the answer? I don't know but I would say the team is a complete 180 (for the better) now that Carrot Top isn't here...

Yawn, yawn, yawn. What's his team lost? 4 in a row? Hes gonna be below 500. And you are singing his praises? How many times JG finish below 500?

We are 8 and 4...no better than wed be with this group of players with "Carrot top," running things. Now if we were 11 and 1 or 12 and 0, then I'd agree much better....but face it, we are not any better, except you want it to be true because you don't like jg. If we win a sb, I'll agree. If we lose in divisional, that's proof we are no better.

I wonder if one could make the point that the game in which Quinn was the head coach, the team had four picks.

You know, you never see Vince Lombardi and Dan Quinn together. Just sayin'.

All I was indicating was coaching does make a difference. You can read my statement whichever way you want to and yawn it out. Perceptions are all over the place on this forum and does not bother me. That is why we have this medium to begin with.

Well doesn't his record speak to him as a coach? And even with brees didn't they have 4 straight non winning seasons? After this year, he will have had 6 out of 15 seasons be non winning record.
