I really don’t think Neal is going to be the make or break decision. With or without him this team struggles against teams who run very well like the Cards and the 49ers.

My problem is that makes Parsons play LB. I like being able to move him around

They can still move Parsons around because I thought after the shaky start Gifford turned in a solid performance at Philly.. I think the trio of Gifford, LVE and Parsons at LB should be able to hold up. I don't want to see us in nickel all game long against a team that runs this much.. I think Gholson is athletic enough to play the SAM for us in this matchup too..

This is actually probably good news against the Niners. He's one of the worst in the league with missed tackling, and those Niners are going to attempt to run wild.

i don't expect Neal to play .. which forces a dangerously super-thin LB unit to have to go to safeties being LBs - and to a longer extent.

Next man up! Glad Gifford got some reps vs the Eagles to gain some confidence, and he should've played more but that's another thread. Unsung guys have to step up in the playoffs...for 15-20 plays Gifford should be fine.

Neal is a bottom-2 player on the defense. He and Kazee are complete disappointments. I'm confident in Wilson and Kearse to play his role.

Bring extra LBs. If he isn’t playing up to par pull him. Or rotate him. We need players that can tackle. They will be running the ball and they need to fill the gaps and tackle..
