Impossible. The dead cap on trading Dak would basically mean you have to cut almost every possible contract just to get under BEFORE looking at Wilsons base salary.
Russel Wilson went 12-4, 11-5, and 10-6 his last 3 full years with the best division (Rams, 49ers) in the NFL and his #1 WR not even being better than our #3

Great QBs elevate teams. Look at how fast Burrow turned around the Bengals. Same with Russ in Seattle

Nope. These next few seasons are going to be a wash then another rebuild. Maybe if they get a better HC and OC, but I can’t imagine Jerry doing that.

Contracts match and Seattle would be happy to go younger. Otherwise no other move will make the cowboys serious contenders. Look at Joe Burrow. Then look at Dak:facepalm:

The only reason this game was lost was because we had the worse QB today

LOL.

This thing is over. Nobody will take this QB. And especially not with that kind of contract.

Maybe if you throw in two first round picks you will get rid of him.

What kind of franchise will esentially waste 2 or 3 years without having a chance to build up their roster in the meantime ?

I believe Dak can sleep number like a boss, but it certainly looks like he is not able to get them over the hump without prime Zeke Elliot.

Whether you believe in him or not doesnt matter we are stuck with him after that contract. THe ones that need called out are all the ones that say he "deserved" that contract and we "had" to pay him because some other team would have. Our chance was to trade him even if it ment geting a late first or 2nd round pick and use his money to build the team. But some people would rather be stuck in this bs we have been in for over 20 years.

The whole season we wanted him to run more, and he decides to make it the last play of the year. Plenty of blame to go around, but Dak doesn't have it anymore.

LOL............As if it was Dak that called that stupid play. And then the Ref coming and tackling everyone. I must admit that was a good laugh. A fitting end the the pathetic Cowboys.

None of that changes the math behind the salary cap making that impossible.

Dak looked nervous all game. He double pumped half his passes

He is not a winner folks
I have a good feel for who he is. And he cannot win 4 straight postseason games. He needs a running game. He needs a team that does not commit penalties. He needs a WR that is physical. He needs a Head Coach that is detail oriented. He is who Russel Wilson was when the Seahawks were dominant. The difference. Carrol is much better than McCarthy. Beast mode is better than the version of Zeke we have right now. Their defense is much better than our defense. They were a much more physical team. Even if we had won today...that would have been it for us.

So if you are evaluating Dak honestly. My assessment is you need to many other things to go right for him to win multiple postseason games in the same season. Since the organization has already sunk a lot of money into him...they have to continue to build out the team around him.

Lastly, it really will not matter. The Cowboys have NOTHING with McCarthy. NOTHING!!!!!!!! He is just collecting a check. If you really want to win...you would eat the rest of his contract and move on. Otherwise...you are just waiting for the inevitable to occur every year.
