I have defended Dak, not his contract, but after today it is hard to defend him. I said he was good enough to win a Super Bowl, but now I wonder if he is. He was just awful today. Some of his throws were so far off target, and he was holding the ball way too long in the pocket. Something is wrong with him between the ears and it did not get better.

Now the Cowboys are stuck with him and his $40 million contract.

Defenses are disguising themselves to get him to audible to what they’re truly prepared to defend.

His arm isn’t all that great either. In the second half of the season he overthrew receivers or threw it into the ground a lot.

He’s no better than a Carr or Garropolo in the true ranking of QBs of the league. Difference is Dak’s taking up a far larger portion of the salary cap than what those 2 are taking up.

I think he’s still a good enough QB to take you to the SB. The play where he slid when he was one on one with a DB really made me question his mindset about leaving it all on the field. You play for today when you’re in the playoffs. You can’t be that scared with the ankle still, can you? I’ve never had a major injury playing football through college, so I guess I just don’t understand….
