Where does McCarthy and Cowboys go from here?

It really doesn’t matter.

The Cowboys aren’t close to being a championship level team whether they keep McCarthy or fire him.

There is so much blame to go around: undisciplined players, poor coaching, lack of leadership from the front office.

We have learned to expect nothing from this team because that’s what we are going to get.

It all started when Jerry fired Jimmy. You can’t fix stupid.

not defending either one cause they’re both ego-maniacs .. but Jimmy wanted out anyway .. Jerry got in the scotch and made it easy for Jimmy. Read the book.

As a young fan who hasn't seen success, I'm just going to say something that I've learned. Until Jerry either steps aside or puts his ego away and is willing to get a real coach and/or put Jimmy in the ROH, things won't get better. Especially on the coaching front. Jerry jinxed the coaching position.
When 80,000+ people stop filling Jerry World every game no matter what product Jerry puts on the field things may change.

This whole team quit in the biggest game of the year, and none of them looked too upset except for 52, who stinks. If we roll with this lot next season, I expect a top 8 draft pick, and only because our division stinks. This team is going backwards fast.

I truly believe that jerry WANTS to win. He just doesn't know how to do it without relinquishing total control of his $5B hobby.

And that is the problem . He only wants to win his way.

He tried being a second fiddle to Jimmy but winning back to back wasn’t enough.

If MM isn’t fired by Wednesday, he’ll probably survive. If he stays, don’t expect anything different next season.

If he leaves, don't expect anything different next season either.

Whoever replaces him would be someone who makes Jerry "comfortable", as in no pushback on Jerry & Stephen, which has been a recipe for nothing for a quarter century.

Id argue McCarthy has made Jethro comfortable. He’s been a puppet of sorts too. He went with Jethro’s desire to keep Moore and hasn’t bucked our dysfunctional ownership on anything publicly I’m aware of.

But yea, don’t expect us to attract anyone who’s phone is ringing off the wall elsewhere. The Cowboys have been pretty much a dead end or final stop for HC’s this era.

They goto the back of the bus. We likely lose 3-4 starters on offense and multiple contributors on defense this year. We won't know till next season if the many young guys they have can actually step up or not. It's more likely we are the #2 team in the division next year

Expect more of the same as we had the past 25 years. Jerry fired Landry and Johnson. The curse is working.

Well it should be painfully obvious at this point that Fat Mike aint going anywhere.

So I guess the plan is to line up and try again next year.

And keep in mind that nobody repeats in the East, so its probably Philly's turn to win it next year.

I think we will win the East next year. Dak is the best QB in the Division unless Watson relocates here. Now that doesn't really mean squat.
