The bottom line is Dak didn't deliver

Being a contender is all about the offensive and defensive line. Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers never won anything without a good o-line and a defensive tackle.
AFTER you have a competent QB. W/o a good Qb, you are nothing.

Ummmm.....Joe Montana?

Yes.. watched almost all of Joe's career.. and I believe Dak is better throwing on the move than even he was.. Especially rolling to the left.. I've never seen a right handed QB throw better rolling left than Dak.. well pre-calf injury Dak that is.. Since that calf injury his mechanics were all over the place.. But I am assuming with a full offseason to heal and work on footwork the Dak of the first 6 weeks will be back..

You're entitled to your opinion, but I respectfully disagree. Montana was the best and most accurate passer on the move that the game has ever seen. Prescott is not in his league.

..its complicated. So many variables that played out, to not our favor. Dak wasn't the one missing blocks, holding people or going offsides.

Not a QB in this league really plays well unless they have good protection. Dak did not have it all year and they better get the OLine fixed or forget 22.

The mistake wasn't keeping Dak, the mistake was paying him 40 million. I can live with Dak not being elite but when we pay him elite money, we're going to run into problems, starting with this upcoming offseason.

Bingo!!!

The problem is not that Dak is a bus driver QB, the problem is that you paid him like he is Mahommes.

When you play non-elite players elite money, it bites you in the arse everytime. This is where it is helpful to have a real GM that actually pays players according to their worth and not because of how many jerseys they sell.

Its on to season 7 for Dak. I hope this performance will linger in our collective memories so we can have fewer arguments next season over who this guy is. He is gutless and not a big game QB. He pads his stats against bad teams and playing catch-up against prevent defenses.

Yes . . . Please . . . make this post a stcky

So next year when he torches the Giants for 500 yards and 8 TDs, anyone who starts posting about how great he is should be automatically considered a buffoon.
They should make it like an award for those who donate to the site like " The Ultimate Legion of Fans"
Call it the "Ultimate Buffoons of the Fans" with a picture of Tad instead of Rowdy

They way you win with Dak Prescott is by turning him back into the bus driver QB he was in his rookie year, and building the defense. He should be focused on moving the chains by any means necessary.
If this is the only way to win . . . then its time to move on because that ship has sailed and the O-Line will never be at that magical 2016 season level again . . . ever

Even when you pay elite players elite money it hurts the team . . . but their talent eases the pain.

But paying someone who drags down the performances of his surrounding team members is beyond moronic

23-7 - the score entering the 4th quarter
27.1. Daks QBR for game
1-3. Dak's career playoff record

We can blame MM.....the refs......bottom line is that Dak didn't deliver. The players play the game and no cowboy was more underwhelming than Dak Prescott. He could not get the offense moving until SF was basically in a prevent defense.

Dak needs better pieces in the offensive line. It doesn’t matter that other QB’s dont have it that good. It is what it is Dak is our QB for 3 more years,If you want to call homers buffoon, fine.

Well, I am resigned to the fact we are stuck with him for cap reasons, and I think the jones have a man crush on him. So given that unfortunate reality, elite defense is the only way to win.

Yeah, post something stupid then run away. How can you not blame Dak for this failure? He came out flat and could do nothing on offense the entire first qaurter. He repeated the feat after halftime by putting up a donut in the 3rd quarter. He got most of his yards against a prevent defense down 23-7. The QB is the most important position on the field and he didn't show up.

Another ‘fan’ that doesn’t seem to actually understand the game.

Again;

- ZERO running game, which means DBs weren’t held close. No play action threat
- ZERO pass protection against almost no blitzing, which means MUCH tougher coverage
- Abysmal down and distance situations all game, forcing Dak to hold the ball so that his receivers had half a chance to get downfield
- Terrible play calling

Exactly none of that was on the QB. His best pass all day was on 2nd and TWENTY SIX when he fired a bullet and picked up 25.

No QB is going to overcome excessive offensive penalties that constantly create low percentage down and distance situations. It wasn’t limited to this game, it was the story all season.

What you **think** doesn’t matter. The facts matter. I just gave them to you.

We are wedded to Dak for the next 2-3 years and there is no guarantee that we could replace him with anything better. My hope is that we hire a QB friendly established OC or let MM run it. That and draft two OL starters in April.
The Cowboys will probably sign Dak to another contract. Jerrry buys and sells image. There is no guarantee that they could replace him with anything better, but they sure can't if they keep him. The cap hit on a quarterback who can't get it done in the playoffs will keep the cowboys right where they have been. It's not just Dak. There are more players on this team who are hyped up and overpaid.

The whole team didn't show up. I'm not thinking this is a Dak issue.
It's going to be a cap issue. Just watch...the cowboys are over the cap and players will go. The cowboys will replace them with 2nd rate free agents. They better hit gold in the draft.

He sucked! But so did everyone else. No one showed up. But the guy making 40 mil. You simply can’t miss the throws that he does in the NFL.
Right. It's not just that Dak sucked. He is eathing up a good part of the cap and he sucked. This clown show is going to get worse.

1. Brady
2. Rodgers
3. Mahomes
4. Allen

Those are the elite QB’s.

One comes along every 5 years or so. Not easy to get when every team wants one.

Wait until the extensions of the last two start hitting the cap. Then you'll truly see how elite they are.
